Race to the White House Game Review

From time to time, I've been fortunate enough to review games coming from the company Eversim. In case you've never heard of their work, they created the game Commander in Chief, which I described as the best game of its type out today. But the question remains: how do you become the President of the country before you can make a lot of those decisions?

Well, Eversim has struck again with Race to the White House. This simulator of the 2012 cycle is the best I've played so far. Its map and graphics help integrate the feel of the campaign, while the candidates are very similar to real life. On top of this, the events help pull together the different features of the game to add in some more complexity.

You can try your shot with a host of different candidates-- whther a clone of Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, or others. Together, you can create a challenging experience to see if you have what it takes to be the next President of the United States.

With the price at only $20-- if you like politics or simulation games, give it a shot.

Overall: 8.0/10

Apparently: James Holmes Sex Site Profile

The weirdness keeps growing. No one seems to know the guy-- he's quiet, but in a creepy sort of way.

“He seemed to be a normal kid, I don’t know what triggered it. This makes me very sad,” said Tom Mai, a retired electrical engineer. Some websites speculated that he held extreme Left-wing views and may have been an anti-capitalist protester. Another neighbour in San Diego said Holmes had tried and failed to secure a job after graduating.

A janitor at another source says that he's not polite.

Apparently he has an online sex profile. No wonder we couldn't find his facebook.

And he has a small penis...

"Holmes" also notes that he's interested in "Erotic Chat or Email, Discreet Relationship, 1-on-1 sex or Group sex (3 or more!)"

In the section marked, "Introduction" ... "Holmes" said, "Looking for a fling or casual sex gal. Am a nice guy. Well, as nice enough of a guy who does these sort of shenanigans."

According to the website, "Holmes" last logged in to the site sometime in the past 3 days.

What’s A Patriot to Do?

Mr. Obama may not be the only President we have ever elected who has little real world experience, but he may be the first who has none. And hopefully he will be our last.
President Obama’s latest insult to hardworking Americans has drawn massive press, at least in the portion of the Media that isn’t consumed with repeating and debating his false allegations concerning Romney’s business record. It isn’t hard to understand how a Marxist would consider the accomplishments of a capitalist to be criminal. It also isn’t hard to understand how a Marxist would believe that no one can accomplish something on their own; they do believe it takes a village to raise a child after all. What is hard to understand is how America was gullible enough to elect a Marxist president when the evidence of his beliefs, his associates, and his political activities were so easy to see.

What will be utterly beyond comprehension is a majority of our fellow voters drinking the kool-aide a second time when it is obvious from Mr. Obama’s rhetoric that he is selling a blatantly anti-capitalist and anti-American line of constitutional suicide.

With serial apology tours, bowing to foreign leaders, and abandoning our surrogates to help install the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East, it is obvious Mr. Obama is a walking disaster for America’s foreign policy. It is also obvious from the recession he has managed to turn into the Great Recession that his spread around the wealth transfer policies are an unmitigated disaster on the domestic front. His record wouldn’t inspire anyone except a fellow American hating Marxist to vote for him, so his only viable tactic is to make the other guy totally unacceptable. In the coming months watch as the President, his fellow traveler mouth pieces, and the Corporations Once Known as the Mainstream Media turn squeaky clean bland, boring Mitt Romney into a nefarious arch criminal who has built a massive criminal enterprise on the backs of exploited victims.

Even if President Obama really believes personal accomplishments, except his own of course, are merely the trophies of exploitation that doesn’t mean the rest of us should accept this as a legitimate premise for discussion. The Democrat Media may want to spend endless hours asking Mitt to explain why he threw grandma off the cliff after stealing her Social Security check, but that doesn’t mean any sane person should waste time considering it.

A better question might be if capitalists have claimed personal success unfairly while using roads and electric grids built by others why is it fair for Mr. Obama to claim as his own the fame for killing Osama when someone else started the campaign and someone else executed it? Why aren’t the failures of his forays into venture socialism such as Solyndra, the Volt, or anything else his fault? Our Dear Leader is a walking example of socializing the costs while personalizing the profits. If it goes bad it was someone else’s fault, but if it goes right it was all him. He has changed the famous Truman quote to "The Buck Stops with You" and since the teleprompter told him to say it he was able to do it with a straight face. The saddest thing of all is that the dumbed down crowds he wows probably don’t know he changed the quote at all.

All of this is shaping up as a surreal election cycle. We have a Democrat doing everything imaginable to lose. He is abandoning the white middle-class, attacking capitalism, and lavishing insult after insult upon anything and everything Americans have always held dear including our founding principles. We have a Republican who passed the template for Obamacare and can’t generate as much excitement as a Saturday night of rearranging your sock drawer.

America hangs in the balance.

If we re-elect a Marxist on a platform of class warfare and soak the rich, I imagine we will see class warfare and soak everybody. If we elect a middle of the road Massachusetts Republican with a veneer of conservatism who is enamored of the foreign affairs advice of John Bolton, the angriest of the neo-con war hawks I imagine we might get a reprieve on the Marxism as the government grows to sustain more wars for peace.

What’s a patriot to do? Are we teetering on the edge, past the tipping point, or already careening into the Abyss? Do we throw away our vote on someone with no chance to win? Do we choose the lesser of two evils knowing that we will still be choosing evil? Do we do as one of my oldest friends is doing: sell everything and leave the country before all this progressivism hits the fan? Do we store food, bury guns, and wait for the zombie apocalypse?

The answers could be so simple. Domestically we could cut taxes, cut regulations, and let the economy surge. In foreign affairs we could follow the direction laid out by the founders: a friend to all and an enemy to none, withdraw our far flung international police precincts, make our homeland an impregnable fortress and let trade be our currency and peace be our policy.

Instead we face a future of austerity and contraction based upon a bloated government swallowing ever more of the American pie no matter who wins. We face endless interventions and undeclared wars in quagmires defending a status quo that is no longer tilted in our favor. China, the rising dragon of the East, is playing chess as our dithering Progressives moan about chickens coming home to roost, and political correctness prevents us from doing what we should do when we should do it.

We are truly between Barack and a hard place with every forward indicator pointing down.

These are times when I draw upon the true source and summit of my being and remember that the God of Heaven and Earth has not left us without understanding. We face these problems because we have forsaken Him, and the only way back is through Him. He told us long ago, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." That isn’t just an observation it is a promise. And unlike our fickle politicians who merely want to tickle our ears, God always keeps His promises.

Therefore as we turn to face the change don’t be discouraged, don’t be depressed, and don’t worry. God has our back if we will give him our faith. For He also told us, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you."

Keep the peace. Keep the faith. We shall overcome.

The suspect apprehended in the mass shooting at a suburban Denver movie theater has been identified as James Eagan Holmes, 24, law enforcement sources told CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.

Twelve people died in the shooting at a showing of the new Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colo., early Friday morning. A law enforcement source told Orr the shooting appears to have been carried out by a lone gunman.

One federal official told CBS News that at this time Holmes appears to have been "under the radar." CBS News reports Holmes doesn't appear to have a criminal record in Colorado or in California's San Diego County, where he lived previously. Pentagon officials said there is no record of Holmes having served in any branch of the military.

According to the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Holmes dropped out of medical school last month, The Associated Press reported. School spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery said she did not know when Holmes started school or why he withdrew.

Assad Forces Regain Midan

The news coming out of Syria is plenty this morning as Hisham Ikhtiar, al-Assad's security chief, succumbed to the wounds he received from Wednesday's attack at the national security bureau, while fighting continued through-out the country, particularly in the Damascus suburb of Midan and a state funeral was held for the other officials killed in the blast.

Rebels apparently launched an assault on military positions in Midan, where heavy fighting has been ongoing for several days now, when Assad's ground forces - backed by armoured vehicles - regained control of the main market and the rebels were forced to make a tactical retreat. Journalists were allowed into the suburb, confirming the government's victory.

Other reports indicate fighting in Damascus has eased, as Assad's forces control the bulk of the city and the rebels are stuck in the suburbs fighting an "unfair fight" as a Dutch journalist described it to the Guardian. It has also been reported that Assad's forces have regained one of the border crossings they lost yesterday.

This hasn't exactly been the best day militarily for the rebels, as they have lost vital ground to Assad's forces and their assault on Damascus appears to be losing steam, which has exposed a pivotal weakness for them: while they have proven the ability to successfully plan attacks and maintain their own against Assad's forces, when heavy weaponry is brought in they eventually are forced into retreat and you can't win a war like that.

And all of this has led to a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions - 30,000 Syrian vehicles have crossed the border into Lebanon the past 48 hours, while Iraq is evacuating their citizens via plane as the border's have been closed and over three hundred were killed in fighting yesterday; the highest death toll since this conflict started last year.

We are witnessing history in the making, one way or another. Either Assad will be brought down in a wave of rebel glory, or his brutal tactics will save his regime by shedding the blood of his countrymen with sadistic cruelty.

Looking for Payday Loans

Providing for your family financially can be one of the most important parts of your life. Considering that many issues revolve around money and how you use it, you should always keep in mind just what you should be doing with your cash, credit, and other assets. With all of tehse things in mind, it is always easier if you plan ahead. To do so, you can do a lot of research to find just what you should be doing, and you can even pass the info over to a family member or loved one to get them prepared fiscally. To research this, you can ask around or use many different resources. One of them might be your local bank or credit union, you can also inquire at work (some employers offer you resources to plot out your financial future), you can do some research on the net. All of these factors can help you move in the right direction. Just make sure that you are sure about whatever direction you want to head in and remain confident that you have made the right choice for both you and your family.

Among the options that you might find, you should try to see which ones fit your situation. For example, you can pick up another job to try and pay off some old bills or new utilities. You can help form an emergency fund. Some experts say that you should put aside at least 20% of what you earn annually in case of an emergency. Unexpected events can take all sorts of forms: injury, death, or job loss. You can find a hobby on the side that offers you some sort of fiscal upside-- maybe opening an eBay store or selling things in a garage sale. Maybe you can help out a neighbor move for a couple of extra dollars. All of these things are a concern and you should make sure that you have a plan in place to deal with them. Of course, no plan can fit in for all eventualities-- but you will find yourself in a better position with one in place.

One way that you can plan for your family is to research payday loans. A payday loan can tide you over until your next paycheck and pay off those bills that are becoming due. If you need money fast, sometimes payday loans can provide you with that jolt to get yourself back on your feet. In times of crisis, this can be just what you need.

Russia, China Veto U.N. Resolution on Syrian Sanctions

The United Nations Security Council latest proposal for ousting Assad's government: international sanctions, was defeated this morning by the veto power of China and Russia, while two other nations (unknown at this time Pakistan and South Africa) abstained and eleven voted to take the hardest non-military line against the brutal regime.

This represents yet another display of the international community's paralysis to do anything useful to settle the ongoing conflict in Syria, as the embattled regime's few remaining allies refuse to join the west in ousting Assad and the west refuses to seriously consider non-U.N. military actions, such as deploying NATO...

With the regime launching an counter-offensive against the rebels in Damascus, killing scores of innocents at a funeral procession with helicopter gunships, and the rebels putting every ounce of resources into this fight - western action could tip the scales and end this conflict sooner then later with a new government in place and Assad on his way to the Hague.

Liberals: "Arm Gyrations" Responsible for Obama "You Didn't Build That" Gaffe

God how they try. Now this from Slate:

Obama is gesticulating to count off the various ways people have been helped -- great teacher, American system. At 0:44, he says "somebody invested in roads and bridges," and gyrates his arms as if mapping out said roads and bridges. "If you've got a business," he says, making one more gyration, "that -- you didn't build that." The extra "that," a false start, is not captured in transcripts. It really looks like "that" refers to the stuff that business-builders utilized on the way up, not the businesses themselves.

Liberals on "You Didn't Build That" Controversy: 'The President Didn't Say the Thing He Said'

Geniuses. From the dumbasses at Talking Points Memo:
Friday evening, it was a paragraph in President Obama’s speech at Roanoke Fire Station #1 in Virginia. By Tuesday, it was a full-fledged fundraising line for the Romney campaign.

But that wasn’t because the Romney campaign’s opposition research shop immediately seized on the president’s remarks. In fact, it would be three-and-a-half days before the Romney campaign itself made any mention of them. In the interim, what transpired was a textbook case of how a distortion can emerge from right-wing online media, get laundered by Fox News, and go mainstream as a major line of attack by the Republican nominee for President.

The Obama speech that started it all was on Friday evening, after the political press had shifted into weekend mode. Referring to large-scale infrastructure investments like bridges and highways and the Internet, Obama recycled a line he has used often on the stump but with a slight variation: “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

The next day was panning out as a slow-news Saturday for Jazz Shaw, who carries the title of weekend editor at the conservative Hot Air site. But then he got a tip from a reader, he later told TPM, pointing to the line in Obama’s speech. “Huzzah,” Shaw tweeted at 1:29 p.m. ET. “Just finally found something else to write about,” Shaw tweeted again a few minutes later. At 4:01 p.m. ET Shaw published his post highlighting what he called the “gem” of the president’s quote.

U.N. Response to War in Damascus: Sanctions...

With the events of earlier today still in mind, my angst towards the United Nations has never been greater. I really just cannot understand the abject stupidity of the international body tasked with preventing conflict.....

As I'm sure everyone heard, Syria is in a state of total civil war: Damascus saw the strongest engagements in city limits since the uprising started last year; potentially thousands of Syrian soldiers defected; Assad might be wounded and there are rumors that loyalist forces are distributing gas masks to their troops.

Or, in other words - the shit hit the fan. Literally.

So what was the U.N.'s response?

Postpone the latest useless U.N. Security Council resolution that threatens... and I'm not kidding... sanctions if Assad doesn't cease and desist from his brutal crackdown until tomorrow to allow more time for the west, which has about as much backbone as a in-vertebrae right now, to sway Russia to our side on... sanctions in wake of what occurred today.

Oh, gee wiz, lets shoot for sanctions when Damascus is fricking burning!

This is the time where western forces could aid the Free Syrian Army, overwhelming Assad's dwindling loyal forces, and put this tyrant down once and for all. We did the right thing in Libya when the rebels were almost at the point of destruction; why not learn from our involvement last year, and this time help when the loyalists are the ones with their capital under siege?

Then again, that would be common sense, something the U.N. hasn't displayed since their creation almost 70 years ago...

What say you?

Booyah: Bashar al-Assad's Brother-In-Law, Defense Minister Killed in Suicide Bombing

And he's currently burning in hell. From the Atlantic:
A suicide bomber has reportedly struck a national security building in the Syrian capital, as the Free Syrian Army's major offensive to "liberate" Damascus has extended into a third day. The government dismissed the idea that rebels had made a major push into the heart of the city, but numerous witness accounts report heavy fighting moving through the suburbs and closer to the heart of the regime. Reuters reported on Wednesday morning that fighting has taken place at an army barracks 'within sight" of the presidential palace.

The bombing, which was reported by Syria's state TV, apparently targeted a building where top security officials were holding a meeting and there are reports of serious injuries to the Syrian defense minister. It also comes the day after a top Syrian defector claimed that Bashar Al-Assad's regime has been working with members of Al-Qaeda to orchestrate bombings around the country, so there many be continued questions about who is truly responsible.

In either case, it seems that after months of being slaughtered is smaller cities around the nation, rebels are finally making a concerted effort to attack the government directly — and it seems to be having an effect. After nearly four straight days of guerrilla attacks in Damascus suburbs (while also holding off tanks and helicopter gunships) the fighting has only gotten worse. Combined with continued reports of Syrian generals defecting to Turkey, it could be a sign that the military resistance is weakening and the rebels are actually making ground. Some activists even claim that government's response, including shelling Sunni neighborhoods in Damascus itself, has finally led many holdouts in the capital to join the revolt.

Dumb Statements

It's been such a busy month at my regular job that I haven't had a chance to really do anything. I just don't understand where the time goes.

But I have had time to read the opinions of others. Some are very thought-provoking and knowledgable. Some address important national issues, and some are only of local interest. Since this is political season, and an election year, the liberal rationalizing and fear-mongering is in an especially high gear. Arkansas' only state-wide newspaper is especially rich in comedic gold.

I noticed that whenever I came across a little blurb of idiocy, I would start talking to the newspaper in answer. Not to toot my own horn, but I figured my answers were a lot smarter and more cogent than what I was replying to. That's quite a feat, I think, considering that the best way to write is to think all the way through what you want to say, and say it in the most short and concise way possible. Thus, my spontaneous and off-the-cuff remarks were smarter and more deeply thought out than was somebody's letter who was supposed to be completely thought out before being printed.

 Which leads me to a new feature that I've entitled...

Smart Answers To Dumb Questions (or Statements)

Don't get the wrong idea that liberal idiocy is only contained to Arkansas. I'm sure that a brief perusal of your own local newspaper could come up with even more liberal idiocy (which, by the way, is redundant) than what I've gathered here. I'm sure using the New York Times or Los Angeles Times or Atlanta Journal-Constitution or another newspaper would net us some even daffier material. I'm using these because they are local to me, and I'm able to reproduce these letters for you to read before I comment on them.

I'm drawing mostly from the letters to the editor page because of two reasons. The first is that, in accordance with the newspaper's policy, each letter printed must be under 250 words. Since each letter must adhere to that policy, each letter is therefore pretty short.

The second reason is that because of this shortness, the writer must make his point as totally as possible in as few words possible. Thus, a letter-writer must choose each word carefully and make sure that it fits coherently into their argument.

Now, since the introduction is longer than any letters I put in here, I'll get to the fun.

This first one is from Gary McLehaney of Benton, Arkansas. He writes:
Evolution of thought

In the Voices section recently, a writer stated that evolution isn’t real and that mutations never positively alter genomes.

However, look at how the altered wolf’s genome has created every dog from the flat-faced bulldog to the teacup Chihuahua. Going from a cave dog to a house dog is positive evolution, in my opinion.

Pictures from the past prove that people are positively evolving. I think Mona Lisa was so homely and dowdy compared to modern women.

Of course, the evolution of the human mind helped speed up and improve the evolution of things that used to take thousands of years if left to evolve on their own. And phooey to the thin-headed opponents of evolution who want us to devolve back to the monkeys that got left behind by trying to cling to the old ways.

Even ideology evolves-20 years from now, when someone protests against gay marriage, then people will say that the Old Testament isn’t followed anymore. Nowadays that is said about women cutting their hair and having sex before marriage, which were dire sins a hundred years ago.

The ways of life are going to move on and evolve like everything else does-except for primitive-minded people.

How tragic that we can’t invent a time machine to send these people back to the Bible days where they can be as primitively ignorant as they wish.

So Gary's asserts that evolution is true because a canine has evolved into... another canine.

And don't you think it's rather speciest to compare the "thin-headed opponents" (way to raise the civility bar, Gary) to monkeys?

The next one we have is from Julia Randle of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Julia is always good for a laugh, and she doesn't disappoint this time around.

Mean, hateful words

Ron Miller of Jonesboro seems to want a good ol’ Southern pat on his back for saying President Barack Obama ate dog meat around the campfire in Indonesia. I can tell that Ron likely has not traveled outside Arkansas or served in the military. My husband served two tours in South Korea and my brother served two tours in Vietnam. Both saw people in those countries eating dog meat.

Before coming to Arkansas, I did not know people ate raccoons. I would swear raccoons are cousins of the dog. There are a lot of animals I do not eat, such as raccoon, possum, deer, alligator, rabbit, goat, squirrel or the rest of the animals walking in the woods. Sea creatures like lobster, crab, shrimp and please, no catfish or fried foods. There are many things I refuse to touch, like coffee, alcohol of any kind, and I hate cigarettes.

When you say nasty things about people, God hears you. You will get yours before you leave this sinful place.

Both President Obama and I were raised by our mothers and grandmothers. It is the best teaching a person could want. President Obama would never say anything bad about Ron. He was not raised in a mean, hateful household.

Being raised in a Christian home is like having a million dollars.

The Bible says there is a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Oh, where to start with this?

Well, first, Mrs. Randle thinks that the whole flap doodle over Obama eating dog meat was about Obama eating dog meat. Although sickening, the problem isn't that Obama ate dog meat, but what the liberal sycophants in the media pursued as their story.

If you will remember, the Obama campaign served up the story that Mitt Romney had placed his dog in a dog carrier on top of the family vehicle and driven some distance with it like that. The media happily repeated the story, and started "analyzing" it, asking the heavy questions like, "What does this say about Mitt Romney's judgment?", and "What kind of person would do this to a poor, innocent animal?"

Wow, man, heavy.

So, one very smart person who had read Obama's mysterious autobiography recalled Obama's anecdote about his father making him eat different animals, and changed the narrative from what the Obama camp and the media had going to a reversal of the situation. The whole thing just backfired on the Democrats, all with a seemingly casual flicker of movement. And since it did that, nobody in the liberal media establishment has been pondering the deeper issues of this story. The questions of, "What does this say about Barack Obama's judgment?", and "What kind of person would do this to a poor, innocent animal?" have not been pursued.

Astonishing, I know.

Then Mrs. Randle states that calling people mean names will come back on you, and God will judge you harshly for doing so. Mrs. Randle also states that Obama was raised by his mother and grandmother. Two statements in which there is no disagreement. I can't agree with her conclusion that this is "the best teaching a person could want" -seems a bit androphobic, if you ask me- but everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

What made me spray my newspaper with my cool, refreshing beverage was the assertion that Obama would never say anything bad about the original letter writer. The fact that Obama has done so on numerous occasions before is indisputable and easily refuted.

Mrs. Randle also states that Obama was raised in a Christian home. Maybe, but his father and step-father also made him attend a madrassa and attend mosque in addition to going to church. So Obama wasn't raised in a 100% Christian home. So it looks like Obama's upbringing is only worth half a million dollars instead.

Well, this column has rambled on far longer than I intended for it to go, so I'm going to cut it off here. I do have plenty of other letters that I'm going to use. There's one in particular that I will feature in my next column that is just plain rich in comedic gold.

See you next time.

How to Avoid Online Scams

With the internet's role in everyday life growing each and every day, making sure that your family is safe online becomes even more important. People place a lot of trust into their computers and mobile phones. They do their banking, check their emails, arrange plans, and create budgets behind the curtain of passwords and safeguards. Still, no system is perfect. Many people also have antivirus or anti malware programs on their computer, but sometimes even those are not enough to stop malicious people with designs on your money or your private information. Knowing all of this, you need to make sure that you, your family, and your place of work are all protected from problems like online spying, phishing, and other types of fraud that occur all over the world every day. You need to do your research to prevent these things from happening to you or someone you know.

There are some ways to avoid these problems-- and you should make sure to take the precautions just in case. Still, sometimes you need to call in an expert on keeping data and other information safe and avoiding common pitfalls that other people unfortunately have to deal with. This is why you can use services like anti scamming conferences from Marcus Evans to avoid these problems. With such resources as to back you up, you will be in better shape in case of internet scamming attempts. Even better, you can use the information that you learn to pass on to your family or co-workers to help root out scamming elsewhere on the net. You can look up all of the various elements that Marcus Evans can offer your business to keep it secure on the net. These things are better learned before than after a scammer has gotten your information. Make sure that you are ready ahead of time. It could be a very wise decision.

Looking for Quality Office Checks?

How a business looks makes a lasting first impression. This may or not be fair, but it certainly is the case in many things around the world. Making sure that your business is well taken care of, especially when working to win over clients can be a big deal. This is why it is important to put your good foot forward and get the reputation that you deserve. This can be done through many ways. You can advertise with what you offer and the quality your products have. You can attend or host trade expos that fit with what you need. Green Party Decides Against Nominating Roseanne Barr

In a surprising, and dramatic vote today at the 2012 Green Party nomination, their assembled delegates did not choose former actress and all around lunatic Roseanne Barr to be their candidate in this November's vital presidential election, proving Ms. Barr is still too crazy for even the radical crazies.

Jill Stein, a Massachusetts doctor and perennial candidate (running for governor against Romney in 2002 and again in 2010) received the nod with 205 votes out of 401 overall delegates, while Barr received just 84..... I  would shed a tear for Barr's horrific showing, but I've had a long day and the last thing the woman who killed the national anthem at Jack Murphy deserves is sympathy.

Although, I must admit there is a level of sadness welling up inside my for the all the comedy gold that could have been if Barr was a national presidential candidate..... Hell, I'd even invite her to a debate between Mitt Romney and President Obama just to see their heads spin as she says one line of stupidity after another... It. Could. Have. Been. EPIC!

TSA We Have a Problem - Woman Boards Plane to Testify About Not Having an ID

Yes, you read the correctly.  Victoria Rodriquez was one of two sisters that DOJ was able to identify as being disenfranchised if the Texas law requiring an ID were to stand.  She lives in Texas and the trial was in federal court in Washington, D.C..  Ms. Rodriquez is an 18-year-old college student who says that obtaining an ID is too big of a barrier for her in order to vote.  You see, she doesn't own a car and she can't get to the office to get her ID.  Her parents are too busy to drive her.

So let me get this straight, she was able to get to the airport, board a plane, fly to Baltimore Maryland then take a connecting Amtrak train to get to court but can't make it across town to get her ID.  Also, how did she get on the plane or the train?  Both require picture ID's in order to board.

Under oath she testified that she does have a social security card, a birth certificate, and a voter registration card.  One more form of ID than what is necessary in order to obtain the picture ID.
Here are some other tidbits that came out during the trial:
239 dead people voted on May 12, 2012 of those 213 of them did it in person.  Did anyone pass out from the smell?
50,000 dead people are still on the voter rolls in Texas.
394 people were removed from rolls due to not being citizens.
Tavis County has not removed dead people from their rolls in five years.  A violation of federal law.
Eighteen counties have more people registered to vote then residents.
The DOJ did have some experts testify as the to the harm these laws will do.  It didn't go all that well.
23 people out of 36,500 surveyed said they were unable to case a vote due to ID laws.
The DOJ's expert said the following:
“Voter identification is the controversy that isn't. Almost no one is excluded by this requirement.”
Over 70% of whites, blacks, and Hispanics support the requirement. Black and Hispanic voters did not express measurably less support for voter ID requirements than whites.”
“These findings undercut much of the heated rhetoric that has inflated the debate over voter ID requirements in the United States.”
“That almost no one is prevented from voting because of voter ID requirements casts doubt on arguments from the left that this amounts to a new poll tax or literacy test.”
“The poll tax, literacy test, and other tools of the Jim Crow laws are powerful metaphors derived from a very ugly period in American history, but ID requirements in practice today bear only the palest resemblance to such discriminatory practices.”
“These facts strongly suggest that there may be little or no voting rights issue involved in the dispute over voter ID rules, and no question of fraud either. This is hardly the stuff of the Civil Rights Movement, or the mid-1950s when only 25% of southern blacks were registered, and fewer still were allowed to vote.”
Oh, but it gets better with the next witness:

He believes that Sandra Day O'Connor wanted to pass laws that encouraged white supremacy in Shaw V. Reno as it upheld voter ID laws.  The problem is that opinion was actually written by Justice Stevens.  Ouch.
He goes on:
- Republican African-American and Hispanic legislators are not “legitimate
representatives” of minority communities.

  • “But he’s white”—after learning that an Anglo Democrat who represents a majority- Hispanic House District voted for the voter ID law.
  • All legislators who voted for SB 14—including 5 Hispanics and 2 African-Americans were motivated by racially discriminatory purposes.”
  • There could be states that could enact voter ID laws without a discriminatory purpose, but “Texas is not one of those places.”
  • The Texas Attorney General should ignore documented evidence of voter fraud and instead “spend all his time” prosecuting environmental violations.
  • “Even if a majority of Hispanics support voter ID, it has a discriminatory purpose.”
  • To the extent African-Americans and Hispanics support voter ID laws, it is only because they were manipulated and misled by Republicans.
  • “I would generally characterize myself as a liberal.” Shocker!!!
  • Voter fraud is “really quite easy to find and prosecute,” a position that is at odds with experienced state and federal law enforcement officials.
You never know what a court is going to do (unless of course it is the 9th circuit) so they could strike down the law.  But either way, one side is bound to be unhappy and this will move its way up the chain and eventually land at the Supreme Court.  A place that has upheld the right to prove eligibility to vote is not discrimination.  The truth is it wouldn't matter what color your skin is.  All must provide an ID.  The burden is the same regardless of sex or race.

Assad Forces Slaughter 200 Civilians in Tremseh

HT: Voice of America

In another sign that Bashar al-Assad's despotic regime is nowhere near peacefully concluding the ongoing conflict within Syria, government forces and supporting militias slaughtered over two hundred civilians just yesterday in the farming village of Tremseh, primarily through the use of heavy artillery and tanks.

Kofi Annan, the U.N. envoy tasked with dealing with this situation, who has had no success negotiating a truce between Assad and the rebels, condemned the Syrian government in unusually unambiguous terms, while protesters took to the streets with several agitation invoking the massacred village as a rally cry.

This begs the question: with the Assad regime responsible for the deaths of near twenty thousand civilians; the downing of a Turkish fighter jet - and the attack on another one; attacking refugees in nearby Lebanon and now several cases of crimes against humanity, how much longer will the western world sit idly by and just watch?

Are western governments so adverse to conflict that they will not lift one finger to put down this brutal and inhumane despot? How many dead Syrians will it take for someone to say enough is enough and arm their forces for intervention? 20,000? 30,000? 50,000? How many?!?!

I have no authority over the actions of my government or other western nations, but if I did.. We would be preparing for battle... not another meaningless U.N. security council summit where a harshly worded, and entirely useless resolution, would be drafted to supposedly deal with the situation.

I'm disgusted by our inaction. What say you?
I  didn't tell enough stories...

                    ---Hussein, Barry, obama

Every morning, after checking the news on the internet sites, it is
my fondest hope that the two tackiest people on the planet will kindly
shut their cake holes and do us the great service of slinking quietly
off into the vacuous sunset of their golden years.

Now the biggest liar in the universe thinks he didn't tell enough
stories to the American people?

How dang dumb does he think we are?

This violent politician, this vicious imposter has lied about everything
from soup to nuts; it is almost a virtual impossibility for him to
concoct any more lies to share with us.

Let's see, we heard the one about how he spent 16 -- 16 - 16 years
telling the American public he was born in Kenya;

we heard the one about the composite girlfriends;

we heard the one about the "coil of rage" he has against white people;

we heard the story about how much he learned from the communists;

we heard the sickening one about the first date of the two most selfish,
arrogant empty-headed tackiest people in the world;

we heard about how this thug from Chicago killed Osama all by himself;

we heard about how he shoveled snow for the entire city of Chicago;

we heard the one about the cocaine; the doobies;  the alcohol;

we heard the one about being the greatest president in our history;

we heard how he visited all 57 states;

we heard the one about the 49 different addresses;

the 12 different social security numbers;

how he may have gone to college;

how he might have been a law professor;  (he wasn't)

how he might have signed up for the draft; (he didn't)

The only story left for him to tell is how he
has degraded the office of the President;  how
he has lied everytime he opens his mouth;
how he has made a mockery of our political
system;  how he has ruined the system of
American justice and law;  how he has almost
singlehandedly destroyed the faith in our
political system;

in short, the man is a walking lie.  Tell us that
story and then leave us alone.

A World Filled With Strangers Keeps Getting Stranger

Some people believe in the Six Degrees of Separation Theory: the idea that everyone in the world is separated from everyone else by six links.  Some people believe all of us are in this thing together, and that diversity is our strength and I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Even if we are all connected in ways we cannot know I believe the world is filled with strangers.  Take a ride and as you pass through country, town, and city you are constantly presented with the faces of people you will never know, and all of whom have lives and families that will never know you or your life or your family.  Every day we see people we have never seen before and will never see again.  They rise out of the mist beyond the pale of our personal knowledge and immediately are submerged again never to rise again.  Our only connection will forever be that one fleeting moment when we moved through a single frame of the separate sagas which are our lives.

Unlike Cain I do believe we are our brother’s keeper, and unlike Scrooge I believe we should help our brothers in need instead of seeing them boiled with their own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through their hearts.  However, unlike the rhetoric of Marx, Lenin, and President Obama I do not believe that life should operate on the basis of from each according to their ability to each according to their need, or as we say in America today, spreading the wealth around.  In other words, I am not a socialist.  I believe in personal liberty, individual freedom, and economic opportunity.  Sadly I find myself out of phase with the Progressive Clique which has successfully maneuvered its way to power using the education system, the media, and uninformed, uninvolved, and emotional voters.

Out of phase or not, I believe in the equality of opportunity which gives everyone a shot at success as opposed to the equality of outcome which our Leader and his fellow travelers wish to foist upon us, and which gives everyone the assurance of mediocrity.   No matter the consequence, no matter the sacrifice we must stand up for what we believe or we will stand by while our nation is transformed into what we won’t be able to believe is still called the United States of America.

Day by day the bean counting pencil pushers who make up the nameless faceless bureaucracy grind out rule after rule and regulation after regulation.  President Obama’s signature piece of legislation, Obamacare, is already churning out thousands upon thousands of pages of federal requirements all meant to fill in the blanks in a 2600 page bill that we had to pass to find out what was in it.

Hope and change has become bait and switch.  Mr. Obama isn’t even trying to win votes from those who disagree with him.  He isn’t trying to change minds. He is trying to buy votes.  He is betting that generations of entitlements have finally birthed the lumpen proletariat that his theories of government proclaim must exist for History to reach its summit.  He is betting his second term on the belief that there are now enough people dependent upon the government that they will vote for a handout instead of voting for a hand up.  He is betting that America has been dumbed down enough and bribed enough to trade our heritage of freedom for the yoke of a guaranteed something instead of the opportunity for everything.

Class warfare, penalizing success, dividing America into interest groups and voter blocks this is the strategy Mr. Obama thinks will win as he works to build a coalition of leftist intellectuals and those convinced they are disenfranchised.  Looking at the polls it appears he has the solid core of 40+% who will vote for a Democrat even if he is the devil himself.  The question is will the unengaged and uninformed voters who should at least hope he will change when combined with the illegals and the dead who at least get to vote in Chicago be enough for him to win?

Can you imagine what a second Obama term will look like won on the basis of a promise to double down on social democracy, a complete disregard for the balance of power, and a desire to totally transform America?  What will be left of the America we have known?  How would we ever get back to where we came from?  No entitlement once enacted has ever been repealed.  The size of government never shrinks.  The power it usurps from the people and the States is never surrendered.

A world filled with strangers keeps getting stranger all the time.  No matter how many degrees of separation we should never be as divided as our Dear Leader tries to portray us.  We are Americans, and we can do better than this.  Reject the siren song of free entitlements which are never free, and embrace the liberty our forefathers won for us.  Let us renew the great experiment in human freedom and strive to see our nation rise again to be the last best hope of man that it is meant to be.  The shining city on a hill that can light the way to a future worthy of free men and women held together by unity not united in our separation.

Even if it takes more than six degrees of separation to connect to others what does it matter how connected we are to people around the world if we are in terminal disagreement with our fellow Americans?  As a nation we are divided between those who want to strive to achieve and those who thrive because they receive.  The Progressives have bred generations of passive takers who believe they are entitled to the fruit of others’ labor.  They pay no taxes so they don’t care how high taxes go.  They have no conception of paying for what you have, so they don’t care about the national debt.  They see America as a vending machine, so they don’t believe in our unique place in History.  They desire a shabby world of bread and circuses based on equality of outcome, so they don’t long to be all they can be..

Those of us who want America to be what America has been and what it should be, the home of the brave and the land of the free, can’t let divisions divide us anymore!  We must unite to save liberty or we will stand alone at the end of the day.  We may be strangers to one another.  We may not know each other but if we are fellow believers in the personal liberty, individual freedom, and economic opportunity we must unite over what connects us to save what has always made us E PLURIBUS UNUM.

Look who is talking about free and fair

What the frankenstein???

So now the imposter from Jakarta/Kenya/Singapore hailing from
east of the moon and west of Chicago wants to see free and fair
elections in the country run by another thug, Hugo Chavez?  Viva

As Chris Farley would say -- lotty frickin' da!

Any politician who even mentions free and fair elections should
be disqualified immediately from ever holding a position of
public trust.

Any politician from Cook County Illinois who uses the words
"free and fair" in the same month as the word "election," should
be taken immediately to prison, no passing go, no collecting
two hundred dollars.

And a person with no definitive past, no definitive birth country,
claiming to be a citizen of Kenya for most of his life, then saying
no, I was really born in Hawaii, who obtains a position in the
White House by rigging elections, stealing votes, using goons
to enforce unlawful voting, and who lies as easy as breathing,
who has no idea what a free people in a free country are all
about --- when he says "free and fair elections,"  ----- you can
hear Rod Blagojevich laughing all the way from prison in

Who cares what Barry Davis Soetoro Zerobama thinks about
that South American thug Hugo Chavez?  A threat to national
security?  So what?  The biggest threat to our national security
in the last two hundred years is the imposter in the White House.

A free and fair election?  How 'bout we have one in America in
2012, say, in November?

A free election:  that's where every legally qualified citizen votes
one time for the candidate of their choice.

A fair election:  that's where the candidates are legally, lawfully
qualified to be on the ballot;  and  their campaign is based on an
honest representation of their past political records;  an honest
representation of their present political position;  their honest
future plans if elected;  and a faithful promise to protect and
defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

That is free and that is fair.

Okay, stop laughing, see what I mean?  Free and fair have had
nothing to do with elections in America for a very long time --
and every politician holding office knows it.

But Zerobama talking about a free and fair election is like Al
Capone preaching the moral benefits of obeying the law.

Just sayin'.
