The Australian radio station at the center of a prank call that appears to have led to the suicide death of a London nurse has taken the two DJs off air. Please bookmark!
In a statement on the 2Day FM Facebook page, owners Southern Cross Austereo offered condolences to the family of Jacintha Saldanha, the nurse who apparently committed suicide after falling victim to a prank call made by DJs Mel Grieg and Christian Michael.
"Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and 2Day FM are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha from King Edward VII’s Hospital and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and all that have been affected by this situation around the world," the statement said.
Oh, and naturally, job stats were revised downward over 40,000 in September and October.
And even though the economy expanded with fewer jobs this month ("140,000"), unemployment dropped .2%. Compare that with the original numbers from last month (180,000), which caused an increase in unemployment, and you can see why this is garbage.

Sitting back on a weekend and turning on the television to watch your favorite team can be a great pastime. There are many ways to enjoy how the thrill of the game can affect all of us and how popular sports are in all of the different parts of the world. With so many sports out there to watch and play, you may be torn on which one is your favorite or which one to watch on a given day. With all of these options out there, many people across the globe choose one in particular: football, known in the United States as soccer. With all of these sports, soccer can be the one that people from Canada to Brazil, to the Ukraine, to China, to Australia can enjoy and all play by the same (or very similar rules). You can also follow the dozens of leagues out there and see how the pro circuits and players are performing. You may even have a favorite team in the listings. If that is the case, you want to keep up with them and see how they are doing on any given day. You can check out fan resources like 338a and see how they are doing. You are also able to use sbobet to check up from the safety and comfort of your home or office computer. This can show you the stats or the instant replays of the plays or moments that your friends or coworkers are talking about from last night. Do not be the last one to know about what is going on-- especially if your team is on the way to the championship game! Keep abreast and stay as informed as you possibly can. With so many options out there to keep up with your favorite sport, team, or player, you can easier than ever!
Sure, the revolution has resulted in several strongmen being ousted, a type of democracy sweeping Northern Africa and the long awaited destruction of Libyan lunatic Muammar Gaddafi. However, most of the ousted despots were allies of the United States and replaced by ideological men with a political agenda unkind to the Western world and our needs in the region.
South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint is leaving Congress to head the conservative Heritage Foundation. Please bookmark!
The Tea Party-backed senator announced the move Thursday, saying he will step down from the Senate in January to become president of The Heritage Foundation think tank.
"I'm leaving the Senate now, but I'm not leaving the fight. I've decided to join The Heritage Foundation at a time when the conservative movement needs strong leadership in the battle of ideas," he said in a statement. "No organization is better equipped to lead this fight and I believe my experience in public office as well as in the private sector as a business owner will help Heritage become even more effective in the years to come."
DeMint has been an outspoken voice in the Senate for its most conservative wing, most recently chiding House Republican leaders for offering to put revenue on the table as part of negotiations over the looming fiscal crisis.
"I don't remember a thing I said on it or a word I said on it, but I agreed to do it for California teachers," said Asner, who is in New York appearing in the Broadway show "Grace."
When the scene was described for the veteran actor best known for his role as the crusty TV newsroom boss on the 1970's show "Mary Tyler Moore," Asner quipped: "How disgusting. It should be reversed."
Then, he bizarrely asked the questioner, from the channel's "Hannity" show, if he had any money and dropped his vulgar request.
"Can I piss on you?" Asner asked.
The eight-minute video, titled “Tax the rich: An animated fairy tale,” was written and directed by California Federation of Teachers’ communications director Fred Glass and criticizes America's wealthy for not paying their fair share of taxes to fund services for the rest of the country. It drew harsh reviews from several critics of public sector unions in California, where the state has been pushed into massive debt, in part by commitments to government worker unions.
And his former girlfriend wasn't impressed, either:
Faculty quickly began emailing with each other and friends about the news. Larry Hunter, who is listed as director of the Center for Computational Bioscience, was asked about the shooting by a friend. "Yeah, he was a grad student here, and, it turns out, had a brief romantic relationship with one of the grad students in my program last fall," Hunter wrote. "She, fortunately, it turns out is in India right now."
"She knows," Hunter added, "and is pretty freaked out."

A senior U.S. official told Fox News that bombs were loaded with components of sarin gas. They have 60 days to use these bombs until the chemical mixture expires and has to be destroyed.
According to NBC News, who first reported this information, bombs filled with a sarin component have not yet been loaded onto planes, but that the Syrian military is prepared to use these chemical weapons against civilians pending orders from President Bashar Assad.
In today's rapidly changing economy, it is important to try and stay one step ahead of the game. This is especially the case when you are working with computer software and other electronic resources that can form the backbone of your business or organization. This is why competition can keep you on your feet and you can be sure to adapt to the changing world.
You can get ahead by making sure that you have resources at your fingertips, like oracle support. You will be able to use these new resources to make sure that you are prepared for the coming months. You can use these for oracle government solutions ready for use. And of course you can use the Oracle Database Appliance for other parts of organizing your database. All of these options are out there for you and can help you solve these issues and get ahead in this emerging economy.

Former U.S. Congressman and Lt. Colonel Allen West refused to close the door on his political career during an interview with NPR last Friday, but one comment has caught the Conservative movement by storm: "...Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too."
|Then-Congressman West addressing CPAC|
However, I will throw a little cold water on their fire, as Abraham Lincoln was known as a great orator and a leader in one of the most important questions of our time, while West, albeit a strong military man in his own right, is one of many voices fighting to lead in today's GOP, and many in the establishment view him as too incendiary to trust with a national speakerphone.
Regardless, the thought of a 2016 West run is quite interesting and I would definitely welcome a campaign from this American war hero and all-around bad ass.
What say you?
