Monday Morning Breaking News Alert: Occupy What?

By John Brentlinger

So the do nothing, be nothing, responsible for nothing, lazy, ne'r do wells, bums, hobos, crack addicts, pot smoking, rabble rousers that are being gathered by the leftists in the federal government are getting organized for an "occupy day" across America on May the fifth. Maybe it is time to call this one what it really is: a trial run at botching the presidential election in November.

Really! They have chosen 120 cities across the land to obstruct progress, hurt the economy, get in the way of those who work for a living, but that is not the real reason for this evil debacle. It is simply to see if they have the power to make enough of a mess to cause a cancellation of the election so that barry barack hussein obama dunham davis can make
himself king for life.

Someone needs to inform his highness that a simple lawful method, an easier method would be to do as this country has done for the last two hundred years: just hold an election and accept the results. That way, the American way of life could go on, you know, where we work, raise a family, buy groceries, live in houses, go to schools, teach kids to work, you know, those things -- those American things.

What we as Americans do not want to do is live in huts, eat dog meat, have no purpose in life, sit around waiting for the next delivery of guvment cheese, hold up signs saying "Will work for German Shepherd Steak."

We do not want the way of life about to be unleashed on us by some pedantic, reckless, lying, deceiving, cheating, low life scoundrel who hates working for a living and doesn't like the fact of us living off the fruits of our labor.

This useless community organizer has no qualms about living off the fruits of our labor. Matter of factoid, this degenerate makes a public display of using the wealth of the American people, makes a mockery of giving the wages of those who did not vote for him, to those who did, and to those he hopes will jury-rig the elections for him in November, if he cannot count on the Occupyers to do their Occupying.

The real question is: what has our elected representation come to that not one of the incumbent scoundrels has the cajones to make this a federal case. No, they are all too busy feathering their own nest, can't take a chance on being singled out by some lamebrain community organizer
acting like he is president. What, are they afraid of -- his goon squad? What kind of cowardly, self-serving idiots have we elected? Is this what we have voted for for the last 20, 30, 40, 50 years? Are we just sheep being led to the slaughter by the pied piper from Indonesia/Kenya/Cook County?

Actually, I wonder what really went on in Cartajena? We have to ask, what goes on at the highest reaches of power on these "State Missions" that would cause career Secret Service Agents to think they could get away with setting up "secret" rendevous'es with sex partners? Could
there be some "secret" we do not know yet? Will we have to wait for a book ghost written by some "rogue agent" whose fate is "death from natural causes?"

Just sayin'.

Sunday Bible Story: The Man on the Middle Cross

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Truly, this day you will be with me in paradise. Luke 23:42

There is the old story about the thief on the cross. You know, the one to whom Jesus said, "Today, you shall be with me in paradise," that one. You can read about it in Luke chapter twenty-three.

So the story goes that the thief got to the pearly gates, waited outside, till St. Peter came out. St. Peter comes out, says to the thief, "So, are you a Christian?"

The thief says, "I dunno."

"Are you a Catholic?" "Don't think so."

"Are you a Baptist?" "No."

"Are you a Methodist?" "No."

"Do you go to church?" "No."

"Do you pray?" "Not much."

"How long since your last confession?" "What's that?"

So, St. Peter, exasperated by this time says, "What are you doing here?"

The thief replied, "The man on the middle cross said I could come in."

And so the old parable gets right to the bottom line. It is the year we call 2012. And now we have a name for all the hundreds of religious preferences
known to modern man, sorry, modern humankind.

Some say you get to heaven through the sacraments. Some say by good works. Others say you get there by having your family name in some book in a cave out west. Oh no, says another group, you have to know the four spiritual laws. Or, "you have to work your way there every day."

Nope, nope, nope and nope again. According to the man on the middle cross, it is whether or not He says you get in.

Actually, the apostle Paul says it pretty simply: For it is by grace that you are saved, and that, not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

So once again, the bottom line. Do you believe on the Son of God? Brand names are only good down here. We can call ourselves by any name in the dictionary, but the final question is: What does the man on the middle cross say?

Federal Judge Enforces Sharia-Compliance in Ohio Prisons

In 2011, death row inmate Abdul Awkal sued an Ohio prison because he was receiving non-halal food while in prison. As a consequence, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction banned all pork products in prison.

This year, prisoner James Rivers filed a lawsuit arguing that pork should not be outright banned. He reasoned that, should Muslims not want to eat pork, they had the right to, but that it was discriminatory to ban pork for everyone. Additionally, the prison did offer meals without pork products in them before the ban.

To reinforce Rivers's lawsuit, prison authorities argued that the change to all-halal food could potentially "bankrupt the system." Despite all of this, a federal judge has thrown out Rivers's case, refusing to even hear it in court.

The judge stated that forcing non-Muslims to adhere to a Muslim diet is not the establishment of a religion because everyone eats the same food. He did not comment on the fact that, before the lawsuit by Awkal, all prisoners ate the same food in the first place.
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction: Now Serving only Halal food
Former Navy Chaplain Dr. Gordon Klingenschmitt, in response to the ruling, stated:
"This is another example of the Islamicization [sic] of America. It's establishing Islam as the state religion of the prison system," Klingenschmitt contends. "The judge's reasoning is this: He said as long as all of the prisoners are forced to eat the same food, then there's no discrimination taking place. In other words, if he enforces Muslim law equally, then there's no establishment of religion. I think that's wrong, and I pray this is overturned on the appeal."
There is no word as to whether another lawsuit will be launched.

Update: Pundit Press has learned that the federal judge's name is James S. Gwin.

Update Two: You can see the entire court ruling here.

New CIA Memo Reveals Admiral, Not Obama, In Charge of bin Laden Raid; No "Gutsy Call" Was Ever Made

With the one year anniversary of Osama bin Laden's death less than one week away, the Obama Administration has been spiking the football for all its worth. The narrative that we have been told since May 1, 2011 is that President Obama made the call to kill bin Laden, with one aide even going so far as to say President Obama's action was "one of the ... gutsiest calls of any president in recent memory."

The White House has run with this, milking bin Laden's death for everything its worth. It's even to the point where if go to "gutsycall.com," your browser will automatically direct you to barackobama.com.

Honestly, if the final decisions were up to President Obama, and no other President would have even considered carrying out the raid that killed bin Laden, the President should have the right to use bin Laden's death any way he sees fit. The problem is that the so-called "gutsy call" never existed. Putting aside the fact that any President with Mr. Obama's intelligence information would have made the same call, a new memo released yesterday that Mr. Obama did not make the "final" call, nor was it terribly gutsy. Instead, it shows that the President merely authorized the possibility for going to Abbottabad... and left everything else up to Admiral William McRaven.

You can see the memo below, which was written by then-CIA head Leon Panetta (you can click on the image for better quality):
The memo reads (emphasis mine):
Received phone call from Tom Donilon who stated that the President made a decision with regard to AC1 [Abbottabad Compound 1]. The decision is to proceed with the assault.

The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out. Those instructions were conveyed to Admiral McRaven at approximately 10:45 am.
In other words, everything from when to go in, what to do, and how to do it were all up to Admiral McRaven. The President played practically no role in bin Laden's death other than being aware of it and allowing it... if bin Laden was indeed there. It wasn't gutsy in the least, but one of Mr. Obama's trademark non-committal commitments. If bin Laden wasn't there and everything went south, he could have easily pointed to the memo and said, "Gee, I told them to get out if he wasn't there!" Instead, bin Laden was there and the President took all the credit that he possibly could.

But there was no gutsy call. And there never was unless it was made by Admiral McRaven.

If I Wanted to Make America Prosperous Again

First, I would ask myself how did our ancestors build America from an agricultural colony on the edge of civilization into the number one manufacturing and commercial nation the world had ever known.

Why reinvent the wheel if round ones still roll?

The early American colonies of the British were founded based upon the economic ideas of Mercantilism.  Governmental regulation of industries, trade, and commerce characterized Mercantilism as every aspect of the economy was utilized for national policy. This was especially true with foreign trade, which was determined more by national aims rather than individual or local interests.

The definition of wealth began to change in the sixteenth century.  During the Middle Ages, wealth was defined by the amount of productive land a nation possessed.  As transportation, especially by sea, improved so did the ability to conduct foreign trade bringing with it an increase in the amount of cash generated by that trade.  The definition of wealth came to be the amount of cash a nation possessed.  Therefore every nation sought to have a favorable balance of trade.  They also sought to develop monopolistic type environments wherein they provided their own raw materials thus avoiding imports which meant money flowing out and fostering the export of finished goods raising the level of money flowing in.  Defining wealth as the accumulation of cash, the nations of Europe desired to conduct foreign trade on a larger scale, and they began looking for foreign sources of gold, silver, and raw materials.

This brings us to the British effort to develop North America as a source of wealth.

The Chesapeake colonies of Virginia and Maryland were the first successful British colonies in what was to become the United States of America.  Though the initial colonists came looking for gold they soon learned that prosperity came not from a shovel but instead from a plow.  It was tobacco that primed the pump and lifted the colonies from a burden to a benefit for the mother country.  After years of mounting expenses for the British and years of starvation for the colonists the cultivation of tobacco brought prosperity.  Virginia’s production of tobacco grew from 200,000 pounds in 1624 to 3,000,000 pounds in 1638 overtaking the West Indies as the number one supplier of tobacco for all of Europe thus boosting Britain’s balance of trade.

The cultivation of tobacco fostered a plantation system based upon indentured and slave labor.  A gentrified class of great planters sought to replicate the social structure of Britain with a small number of very rich ruling a large number of small land holders who prospered to a certain extent but never enough to challenge the status quo.  The wretched poor of Britain who had come to the Chesapeake colonies to find a better life did find more opportunity and the ability to advance from the landless poor to the ranks of yeoman farmer.  However, there was little opportunity to enter the ranks for the gentry which became a type of American nobility.

New England, because of the soil, the climate, and the fact that there was no major cash crop that grew well in the area, did not lend itself to large plantations.  Most farmers were operating at a subsistence level.  If they did generate a surplus it was in crops that were not easily transported across the ocean, and they were also crops that could be grown in England and were not needed as imports.

This climatic and environmental adversity did not condemn New England to being a poor relation to the Chesapeake nobility.  Instead the New English diversified, innovated, and used individual enterprise to not only match but to surpass Chesapeake and every other colony in the British Empire.  Those who settled New England were Puritans who sought to purify the Anglican religion of ceremony and return it to what they saw as the simplicity of early Christianity.  They did not believe that good works brought salvation but they did believe that salvation brought good works.  Therefore they sought to occupy their time with productive activity to glorify God through their labors.  This was a manifestation of what the sociologist Max Weber later called , “The Protestant work ethic.”  Whatever you choose to call it, it was this drive to succeed no matter what the adversity that led the New English to look beyond the soil, beyond the climate and to the opportunity.

First they exploited the fisheries of the Northeast.  In 1641 the New English caught 600,000 pounds of fish much of which was exported to Britain.  By 1645 they were catching more than 6,000,000 pounds per year employing more than a thousand men on 440 ships.  They came to dominate the fish trade shipping not only to Britain and its empire but also to Spain, Portugal, the Azores, Madeira, and the Canary Islands.

By the end of the 1600s the merchants of the New English coast began to circle the globe trading the fish, surplus crops, and lumber of their area to all parts of the British Empire.  They became such shrewd traders that soon American ships were carrying trade from one colony to another even when the cargo didn’t originate in New England.  This secondary carrying trade generated a growing profit that in turn rebounded in a number of ways.  The increased profits brought home financed increased industry and growth at home, and it also spawned a shipbuilding industry which exploited the vast resources of the northern forests.

Between 1674 and 1714 the New English built more than 1200 ships, totaling more than 75,000 tons.  By 1700 there were fifteen shipyards in Boston which produced more ships than all the rest of the British colonies combined.  Only London had more shipyards.  This was a significant engine of economic growth.  To build one 150 ton merchant ship required as many as 200 workers, mostly skilled craftsmen.  The shipyards also supported the growth of numerous enterprises to supply their needs such as saw mills, smithies, barrel makers, sail makers, iron foundries, and rope makers. In addition, the farmers of New England benefited by feeding the craftsmen, supplying the ships, and providing the timber.

By 1700 Boston was the third city of the Empire behind only London and Bristol and the New English shippers were earning freight charges for carrying produce and material that was neither produced, shipped to, or shipped from their home colony.  The enrichment of the area spread prosperity far beyond the sphere of shippers, sailors, and their sundry suppliers.  According to Boston’s shipping register for 1697-1714 over 25% of the adult males in Boston owned shares in at least one ship.

All of these linkages produced an economy filled with diversification and development as opposed to the stratified monoculture of the Chesapeake colonies.

These trends continued as time went on leading to the industrial North eventually overwhelming the agricultural South.  The expansion and growth of America was based upon a foundation of hard work and innovation born of adversity.  Finding themselves in a hard place Americans found a way to prosper and grow like a young plant reaching for the sun.  Freed from the rigid restraints of the home country and then guaranteed freedom by the constitution and the limited government it provided America surged to the front ranks of nations.

Today, America labors under self-imposed adversity.  We are in the grip of an oppressive Progressive Movement that after 100 years of incremental advance is poised to transform America from what she has always been into what they want her to be.  America has traditionally been a constitutionally limited Republic operating on democratic principles providing individual liberty and economic opportunity.  The Progressives envision America as a centrally-planned highly regimented social democracy where the wealth is spread around from each according to their abilities to each according to their needs .

If I wanted to make America prosperous again I would take off the self-imposed shackles of a central government on steroids, stop imposing new regulations, and reduce taxes everywhere on everyone.  Then I would stand back and watch our economy takes off like a rocket and we take our place beside our ancestors as free people with economic liberty and a will to succeed.

The North Korean KN-08s Is a Fake... Uh Oh

Earlier this week the North Korean government introduced the KN-08s missiles at the tail end of a parade celebrating the 100th birthday of Kim Il Sung to demonstrate their military prowess.
Don't be scared... It's a
Well, apparently, that missile [pictured above] is a mock-up or an fake according to analysts. The experts discovered several issues with the missile: it has two fuel sources; it doesn't fit the missile launcher correctly; the metal skin is too thin and all of the missiles were designed differently.

Or in other words: they still have jack shit when it comes to missile technology, and we should do whatever we can to prevent them from accidentally succeeding in the near future and posing a real threat to the United States with their limited nuclear weaponry.

But at least it's good to know the North Koreans haven't changed a bit - build missiles that weren't intended to fly in order to scare people about possible missile launches, while encouraging the 5% within the country that actually still believe the government about their strength abroad. Hope and change.

Joke of United States

By John Brentlinger

If many a truth is spoken in jest, perhaps it is time to accurately depict the jester in the White House as JOTUS, the joke of the United States. The biggest joke he has played on our country is the fact that he is not qualified to hold an office, any office in our country, by reason of the constitutional qualifications
which have been in place for, oh, about two hundred years now. Since every thinking American knows that we are a nation of laws, not men, only a person with
a complete disdain for law would even attempt such a travesty.

The second biggest joke he has foisted on our country is the installment of Chicago style corruption on a national scale. Threats, lies, murder, deception, force, and an intentional ignorance of right and wrong, or I should say, business as ususal in Chicago, has become the order of the day in the White House which used to belong to the American people. The Clintons abused the office, but with nowhere near the crude foreign hatred shown by the immigrants who live there part- time now.

The third biggest joke is the laughing-stock he has made of turning the office of the President into a vacation for himself and his "family." The vacation is only interrupted by the ridiculous photo ops, the more ridiculous basketball games, the weekly golf dates, the stupid appearing on idiotic tv shows with the low IQ "comedians;" the state dinners, the parties; if not for those diversions, the court jester would never show up for work. Oh wait, he never held a real job, no wonder this one-time, four year vacation appeals to his baser instincts.

But the worst joke of all is that he used the crime of Chicago politics, the lies of a professional liar, the intrusion into a country where we have toilet paper, roads and ESPN, the real system of laws: he used all that against the American
people to steal a presidential election from the only country in the world where he could have done it. Usurpation of authority in other countries is usually dealt without a ballot. Only in our freedom loving America could he have pulled this chicanery off and lived to vacation, laugh, steal, cheat, lie, mock, and worst of all: publicly despise, yes hate the American way of life, yet grab all the benefits of freedom for himself and his scumbag cronies.

He has made of no consequence the balance of power at the highest levels of our American government. His abuse of the Constitution, the Congress, and his childish rebuke of the Supreme Court simply show him for who he is, an adolescent who, when he can't get his own way, throws a temper tantrum, cries, laughs and screams and swears until a cowering adult gives him what he wants.

The only joke he has not pulled yet is using the TSA to guard the election process, oh wait, ACORN is in charge of that.

Rubio's Foreign Policy Torch

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), in a speech to the Brookings Institute, defended the ideology of robust American presence in foreign affairs and military intervention against the world's worst characters yesterday afternoon with retiring Senator Joe Lieberman (ID-Conn) introducing him to the attendees.

It has been called the passing of the Neo-Conservative torch from Lieberman, who is retiring after 2+ decades in Washington to Rubio, who is just starting his legislative career. And considering the ideals they share and so willingly espouse on the national stage against their own parties, who can claim otherwise?

And I'm glad it's happening when it is.

With the general election upcoming, in which the discussion of foreign policy will be widespread and vital in Romney's fight against Obama, we need an effective spokesmen advocating for serious, non-negotiable American influence in the world at every stage, and if he's not on the ticket, at least he will be standing on the Senate floor delivering speech after speech substantively defining, and defending all we believe in.

We cannot cede foreign policy to the anti-war radicals in the Democrat Party or the pro-isolationist factions in the Republican Party... but the reasonable men and women who not only acknowledge the existence of pure evil, but also stand up to the face of it and demand it's surrender wherever and at the appropriate juncture, however possible... And Marco Rubio will be our shining light to make the case.

Perry Endorses Romney

From the Hill:
Texas governor Rick Perry announced Wednesday night that he would endorse Mitt Romney's presidential bid, hours the campaign of Newt Gingrich — Perry's previous choice — announced that the former Speaker would be ending his bid for the White House.

"Mitt Romney has earned the Republican Presidential nomination through hard-work, a strong organization, and disciplined message of restoring America after nearly four years of failed job-killing policies from President Obama and his administration," said Gov. Perry in a statement released by his campaign. "So today I join the many conservative Republicans across the nation in endorsing Mitt Romney for President and pledge to him, my constituents and the Republican Party than I will continue to work hard to help defeat President Obama."

Perry, who aborted his presidential bid in January after a series of debate gaffes sent his poll numbers into a freefall, went on to praise Romney's biography.
"American jobs, economic stability and national security depend on electing a new president. Mitt's vision and record of private sector success will put America back on the path of job creation, economic opportunity and limited government," Perry said.

Obama Administration Not Promoting Work Ethic on Family Farms

Not this should really come as a surprise, but the labor department is putting the finishing touches on new regulations that will prevent children from doing many chores around the family farm.  They feel they have the right to tell parents which jobs are acceptable for their children to perform.
You see these parents are too stupid to decide for themselves what is too dangerous for their kids to do.  Below is a list of places children of farmers will no longer be allowed to be:
“would include country grain elevators, grain bins, silos, feed lots, stockyards, livestock exchanges and livestock auctions.”
Is there a rash of farmer's children being hurt at livestock auctions?  If so, I have not heard about it.
As a child of someone who grew up on a family farm I can tell you that farming is great deal of work and requires a strong work ethic to make it successful.  The hours are long and the work is hard.  Many family owned farms have had the land in their families for generations, they grow up working and learning to respect both the land and the animals.

Profit margins on many farms is very small.  The children help out in order to make the farm profitable enabling the family to live and pay their bills.  Farmers take a great deal of pride in being able to pass the land down their children.  In order to do that successfully the kids need to understand the work ethic it takes to make a farm run properly.  Farming is not something that just anyone can do.  Their has to be a love of the land and end product that enables you to want to put the effort out.  That is something that needs to be taught.

There are plenty of examples of how we have lost the work ethic in this country.  Now we have the government putting regulations into effect that will just further erode it.
“I started showing sheep when I was four years old. I started with cattle around 8. It’s been very important. I learned a lot of responsibility being a farm kid.
John Weber, 19, understands this. The Minneapolis native grew up in suburbia and learned the livestock business working summers on his relatives’ farm.
He’s now a college Agriculture major.
“I started working on my grandparent’s and uncle’s farms for a couple of weeks in the summer when I was 12,” Weber told TheDC. “I started spending full summers there when I was 13.”
“The work ethic is a huge part of it. It gave me a lot of direction and opportunity in my life. If they do this it will prevent a lot of interest in agriculture. It’s harder to get a 16 year-old interested in farming than a 12 year old.”
Weber is also a small businessman. In high school, he said, he took out a loan and bought a few steers to raise for income. “Under these regulations,” he explained, “I wouldn’t be allowed to do that.”
These regulations will also make it mandatory that you take certification through government programs instead of through agricultural programs such as 4-H.

The government has decided to not just be the nanny at family farms, they have decided that they now have to become the parents.  You no longer have the choice of what you will teach your children about your farm.  They have made it for you.  I guess these kids can go on food stamps when they reach 18 like so many other college students are encouraged to do.

Gingrich to Quit Presidential Race

From Fox News:
Newt Gingrich plans to formally leave the Republican presidential race next Tuesday, senior campaign aides told Fox News, after struggling for months to turn around his sagging bid for the White House.

The former House speaker will "more than likely" endorse Mitt Romney when he makes his announcement to either suspend or end the campaign, a source said.

The decision comes after Gingrich huddled with senior advisers following the five primaries Romney swept on Tuesday night. Romney's victories made it virtually impossible for Gingrich to secure the 1,144 delegates needed for the Republican nomination.

Gingrich's exit is a stark turnaround from his public posture just a few months back, when in December he confidently declared following his rise in national polls that he's "going to be the nominee." His campaign then flagged until his blockbuster victory in the South Carolina primary in late January -- Gingrich failed to follow that up with any victories save for a win in his home state of Georgia, as Romney marched steadily toward the nomination.

Jon Lovitz for President

By John Brentlinger

Sometimes the news really is funny. And we allvknow that Bill Shakespeare was right, many a truth is spoken in jest. And we also know that when these comedians tell these jokes about the joke-in-chief in the White House, they are not joking. Obama has gone way beyond humor, and has entered the realm of "I am not funny any longer, but I am still a joke."

Speaking of funny news, it is all over the internet this week that because of the economic jokes that Obama has played now for three years, people from Mexico are going back to their own country. Can you imagine how Jimmie Carter must feel, now that he gets to spend all his time at the layberry? Obama makes Carter look like Albert Einstein. And Carter makes Obama look like
Alfred E. Neuman.

Here's Obama, you know, the light of the world: "Hey, let me be perfectly clear -- I botched up the economy so bad, even the Mexicans left the country. But, not to worry, I still gots my golf, Michelle still gots her fine clothes, I finally got my student loans paid off, and
me and the fam are going to spend Christmas in Cartegena this year, where I will be studying the Cuban revolution, where is Che' when I need him?"

Obama now is not just the worst president in the history of forever. He has ascended to the ranks of the worst student, the worst law student, the worst law professor, the worst liar, the worst thief, the worst illegal immigrant in the history of our country. If there was ever a time to impeach and remove someone masquerding as an American citizen, and as an American president, it is today. Can I get an Amen?

How to find a good deal on high speed internet

In this age of modern technology, one of the most important things is to be connected to the outside world. Making sure that the lines of communication are open can be one of the best things you can do for your professions, social, and financial life. With so many things that you have going on online, it is important that you find one of the best plans possible. This way you can get the service that you want and need while also making sure that you can get it at a good price. These two things together can be an excellent combination for you at your house, the office, or at school. The internet is one of the best tools of communication and can be used in so many different fashions. Used correctly, you can get a lot done all of the time-- at night dealing with your bank statements, during the morning doing work, and in the afternoon keeping up with your family and friends. Email can be a very useful tool, connecting you with people quietly and quickly around the globe. When you put all of these factors together, you have so many important things that a modern life really cannot live easily without. By using these things together, you can use these to the best of your ability.

That is why finding the best provider is important. You don't want to have a provider that provides spotty or incomplete service. You also want to make sure that the office is friendly and helpful whenever you may need it. You also can make sure that the service is the best cost for what you may or may not need. This way you can be the most prepared without spending all of your hard-earned money. By having such convenience you can be prepared for what your family can use or your business may need at the office. With so many things depending on the internet and all of the things that it brings, you will wind up with just what you need.

But with so many providers, which one is the best for what you need? There are many companies out there that offer services, sometimes with a plan that may sound good. However, you may be able to find just the plan that is the best for what is going on in your life. One option that you can take a look at is http://internetproviders.org/. By looking at the site, you can see the plans that are available. By comparing the different providers and what their plans offer, you can take advantage of what is best for you. For example, does the plan offer wifi service? What about a free installation? What are the upload and download speeds? Is there a data cap? Can you integrate the program with another element, such as a TV plan or a phone plan? These things can save you a lot of money, which can be a big difference in your wallet. Also, more reliable service can be a big help, especially as you are making sure that you have exactly what you need, just when you need it.

So make sure to do the research that you need. You will be happy that you did.

OWS Unveils New Propaganda Poster: A Unicorn Ripping the Head off of a Police Officer

Occupy Wall Street, well known for its violence against police and civilians, rapes, and suicides, is attempting to make a comeback. After months of being out of the public eye, OWS is planning a rally on May Day, or May 1.

To accompany their rally, Occupy Wall Street has created a propaganda poster to show what they are all about. The poster is of a pink unicorn ripping the head off of a police office, while a rainbow shines in the background:
On the unicorn's left leg, the acronym "WSA" can be seen. WSA stands for the anti-capitalist organization the Workers Solidarity Alliance. For some reason, the police officer has "Work" written over his groin. Apparently, the WSA is planning on using unicorns to kill work?

Finally, over the rainbow the words "General Strike" can be seen.

New Dem Ad Rails Against Romney for Taking Dog on Trip, Defend Man who Ate Dogs

Oh, and we're $15,000,000,000,000 in debt and Medicare will be bankrupt in a decade. But golly gee, certainly we can't have a person who put a dog in a kennel as President:

Cynthia McKinney Running for Old Congressional Seat

From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Former Georgia congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is preparing to run for her old 4th Congressional district seat on the Green Party ticket.

McKinney was defeated by 4th district incumbent Hank Johnson in 2006 after serving six terms in Congress and has kept a low profile since returning to Atlanta from the San Francisco area where she moved in 2007.

Since February she has made a few public appearances in her old district but stayed low key with her plans. She filed paperwork April 2 with the Federal Elections Commission declaring her intention to run.

Tracked down at her mother’s home Thursday by a reporter from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, McKinney declined to comment and ordered the reporter off the property.

George Zimmerman Released from Jail

From the AP:
In a low-key event, George Zimmerman was released from a Florida jail on $150,000 bail as he awaits his second-degree murder trial in the fatal shooting of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

The neighborhood watch volunteer was wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans and carrying a paper bag as he walked out of the jail around midnight Sunday. He was following another man and didn't look over at photographers gathered outside. The two then got into a white BMW car and drove away.

No questions were shouted at Zimmerman from members of the news media at the scene, and he gave no statement.

His ultimate destination is being kept secret for his safety and it could be outside Florida.

As with the July 2011 release of Casey Anthony, the Florida woman acquitted of murder in the death of her young daughter, Zimmerman was released around midnight. But the similarities end there. Anthony was quickly whisked away by deputy sheriffs armed with rifles as angry protesters jeered her. While news helicopters briefly tracked her SUV through Orlando before she slipped from public view, there was no such pursuit of Zimmerman, who will have to return for trial.

The Board of Elections

By John Brentlinger

    The Board of Elections
                                 or,
All the Fraud is not in the Voting

Not sure how it is done in other states, but here in Ohio, there is a method to the madness of how a Board of Elections controls the voting process. And
when I say "madness," I don't mean the peaceful, sober, honest process of a free and fair election. It is not peaceful, sober, honest, free or fair. I am
a lifelong Republican, and I have seen as much fraud from the R's as well as the D's. So just because you're in a Republican county, don't think that there is no manipulation at the voting booth, before election day. Sad truth? There is as much fraud before, during and after an election as there ever is at the voting booth. And usually, the out- come has been pretty much decided way before election day.

The employees at the board of elections, in Ohio, are made up of an equal number of D's and R's. They take turns with all the various duties, and almost to
the paper clips, everything is split right down the middle. I assume it is the same around the rest of the country, with the exception of Cook County,
Illinois.

What about the third party people?, you ask. Good question, they have no say, no presence, and no seat at the table, although third party candidates have been around since 1832. That is 180 years of stone- walling by the two party system. Stonewalling: that is where the parties in power don't have to be held
accountable. Why? Because they are in power. Like Richard Nixon used to say, "When the president does it, it's not illegal."

The greatest single obstacle to free and fair elections in America is the two party system. The two party system is the first, best and oldest form of vote fraud.
The perps at the local boards say, almost in unison, "Hey, if they just had a national party, they could join in." Heh, heh, yeah right. For at least the last twenty or so years, there have been "Independent" candidates by the droves -- do you think they are allowed to participate at the board of elections? Actually, a
representative from the I's must, by law, get permission from the R's or D's if they simply wish to observe the process on election night.

We don't even need to discuss the fraud in setting up state voting districts. Anyone who doesn't recognize that fraudlent process is on the side that gets to divvy everything up.

Who gets on the ballot? Generally speaking, only the ones the board of elections wants on the ballot. How do they keep them off the ballot? Election laws, which are so long and complicated, they don't even print them up anymore, "check the internet," they say. The laws for petitions, from numbers of names necessary, a minimum and a maximum; too many, you're off the ballot; too few, you're out again.
how the names are written down; who passes out the petitions, when and where they are signed; the bottom line is that there are enough complicated restrictions that your petitions can be thrown out because of too many signatures, too few signatures, whether the address is absolutely correct, whether they signed in cursive or printed, and to an "i" being dotted or a "t" not crossed; in short, the board of elections culls the participants every time there is an election, just to make sure the two parties stay in power. Certainly there are
exceptions, but right offhand, I don't know any. BTW, the no good, liberal, lying leftists, crackpot, tinpot, pot smoking, evil doing fruits and nuts in ACORN are aware of all this two party fraud. And they know that Secretaries of States do NOT keep public records of voter fraud, except in completely egregious cases. So when they disrupt the voting process, they think they are doing the same thing the two party system is doing. Throwing a presidential election is nothing new, remember 1876; Rutherford B. Hayes and Samuel J. Tilden? Remember 1960; Kennedy and Nixon?

It will be nothing new when his majesty at 1600 Pennsylvania does it again this year.

The only thing keeping the elections process going in this country is the faith of the American people. Finding out the whole thing is corrupt would be like finding out our pennies are zinc, our nickles are copper, our silver coins are worthless
alloys, and our paper money is not worth the Crane paper it is printed on. It would be like finding out that the wars killing and maiming our best and brightest boys and girls are all for nothing.

The only thing in America keeping all of our systems going is the faith, hope, dedication and beliefs of the American people, who right now are hoping for the best and preparing for the worst, because the truth is beginning to out. The only thing saving us now is the 2nd ammendment, praise the Lord and
pass the ammunition!

This past week in music

I arrived back here in the States on Tuesday. I have a column I want to write about Homeland Security, but I’m entirely too pissed off to write it right now. Maybe I will write it, but I’m going to have to cool down, so it may be a month or two. Suffice it to say that I was not impressed with the service of the United States Customs and Homeland Security officers that I had the misfortune to run across. On to other topics. They say that tragedy comes in threes, especially with death. So it has been this past week. First, Dick Clark, the world’s oldest teenager, passed away at the age of 82. If there has been any negative feelings towards his passing, I haven’t read about them. It certainly appears that Dick Clark was not only well-respected in the music business, but well-liked. I had tremendous respect for Dick Clark on a personal level. He always treated other people with respect and bore himself with class and dignity. I read in a newspaper story that he once had three business ventures on all three television networks at the same time. That’s impressive. He also testified before Congress during the payola scandal of 1960, but his name was cleared of any wrongdoing. He did, however, have to divest himself of his involvement in the ventures he was involved in at the time. He estimated that doing so cost him eight million dollars. Arkansas’ own Levon Helms passed away, as well. He was 71. Levon was playing drums for Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks when he was offered a job playing in the backup band for Bob Dylan. The band later took off on their own, becoming The Band and becoming not only famous, but influential You can hear Levon’s distinctive voice on such hits as “The Weight”, “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down”, and “Up on Cripple Creek”. A young Martin Scorcese filmed The Band’s farewell concert and made it into a documentary. Levon had been treated for throat cancer a little over ten years ago, and had successfully beaten it back. However, the cancer returned, apparently attacking his spine, but Levon kept working, hosting his radio show “The Midnight Ramble” up until earlier this year. Finally, Greg Ham passed away at the age of 58. Name doesn’t sound familiar? Ham was a member of the Australian rock band Men At Work. He played the saxophone solo on their most famous song, “Who Can It Be Now?” Okay, I realize that Greg wasn’t exactly a household name, nor that he was particularly influential in the American music scene. But if you remember listening to the radio in the 80’s, then you almost certainly heard Men At Work. I always enjoyed their music, and can still listen to it nowadays. Please bookmark!

Fellow Blogger Under Attack

One of the best things about blogging is being able to make connections with fellow conservatives from across the country. One of our favorite bloggers is Mrs. B of the Lonely Conservative. A fellow Upstate New Yorker, she has come under a disgusting attack recently by lefties that hacked into her email account and have been leaving hateful comments on her site. She's had enough and has reached out for support from her readers and fellow bloggers.
Some of the comments this troll (or these trolls) leave include email addresses of other conservative bloggers. They fill up my email spam. They sign petitions in my name. They email spam to others in my name. They send me emails that appear to be from my friends. They go to other websites and leave comments in my name – with my email address and links back to this blog – that are vile and wretched. Thankfully I have some friends who are kind enough to let me know when they see this happening. As much as I would like to leave comments on all of the blogs I visit, I rarely have time. If I did there would be nothing on this blog. I suspect that’s the reason they’re doing what they do – to distract me. To shut me up. They’ve even broken federal law by calling my home using phony caller ID services. The police officer I filed a report with was very kind and understanding. My phone company assured me that once the report is ready they will be happy to provide me with the telephone numbers where those calls really originated. We’ll have to wait and see where that leads us.
We're asking Pundit Press readers to head over to the Lonely Conservative and say a words of support. We need to band together when things get tough! Please bookmark!

French Election Results

From France 24:
French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Socialist candidate François Hollande will face off in the second round of France's presidential election after edging out the far right's Marine Le Pen in Sunday's first round of voting.

Socialist presidential challenger François Hollande topped the first round of France’s presidential election on Sunday with 28.4 percent of votes, while incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy finished second with 25.5 percent, according to exit polls. Those figures set up a widely expected run-off between Sarkozy and the candidate of France’s main opposition party who led most voter intentions surveys before the first round.

Exit polls showed Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Front party, had conquered third place with 18.5% of the vote. Far-left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon took 11.7%, and centrist François Bayrou 8.8%, the Ipsos polling agency said. While the tallies of the two leading candidates were in line with dozens of opinion surveys published before Sunday’s ballot, Le Pen’s figures were well above any of those forecasts.

Marine Le Pen far exceeded her father’s shocking second-place 16.86% score in the 2002 presidential race.

LIFE IN THE ASYLUM

Chapter 1: BARACK OBAMA IS A NICE GUY!

You did know that, didn't you? If not, you have our now
all-but-certified presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, to
thank for enlightening you. Now you can rest easy. If
our all-but-certified presidential candidate, Mitt Romney,
doesn't happen to win the election in November, at least
we know that the man who will then retain control of the
executive branch for (at least) the next four years will
never intentionally do anything to harm this country, its
Constitution, or its people. Nice guys simply don't do
things like that.

You can also thank God that we have found an all-but-certified presidential candidate who has the good sense and judgment to select such a powerful campaign theme. Listen to the ring of it: "Barack Obama is a nice guy!" What can go wrong? Especially when we have such recent evidence of the sure-fire winner such an approach is certain to be [see John McCain campaign, circa 2008; John McCain endorsement and advice, circa 2012]. You can also thank God for the Establishment Republicans, who gave us John McCain and Mitt Romney, and who now control the House of Representatives, despite the tireless efforts of such as the Tea Party.

Chapter 2: BARBARA BOXER, HARRY REID ARE NICE GUYS!

You also knew that, didn't you? And so if you are a Republican member of the House, and you receive a bill from the Senate that has been heavily promoted by such nice guys as Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid, you would certainly want to rubber stamp it and get it out the door for the immediate signature of the salivating nice guy Barack Obama, right?

Let's talk a little about this bill. It bears the informative sobriquet "MAP-21", which stands for, believe it or not, the ‘Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act’. If knowing that the bill is heavily promoted by Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid doesn't make you comfortable about immediately rubber stamping it, one glance at the full title should tell you all you need to know. Who can possibly be against one iota of "moving ahead for progress in the 21st century"?

The bill weighs in at a slender, for these days, 1,676 pages. You can bet, of course, that every member of the House will read this bill in its entirety before casting a vote. We should be thankful that after Congress got away with the 2,700 page monstrosity of Obamacare, they did not decree 2,700 pages to be the minimum for all future bills.

The actual bill can be found in .pdf here. The official title is "AN ACT To reauthorize Federal-aid highway and highway safety construction programs, and for other purposes". The "and for other purposes" part tells us everything we need to know, and we should just rubber stamp the bill, right?

Wait: one of the "other purposes" provides that the IRS can cancel the passport of an American citizen on the mere allegation of the IRS that the citizen owes $50,000 in taxes. No proof, no hearing, no court review, and you cannot leave the country until the IRS says so. As bad as this provision is in itself, and as unrelated as it is to highway construction, you can ponder at least two things: (1) how often will friends of the "Nice Guys" mentioned above be subjected to this provision?; and (2) how many intriguing "other purposes" is such a bill stuffed with?

One other purpose getting attention from people not in Congress is the “Mandatory Event Data Recorders” provision. These "black boxes" have been around for many years, and it is doubtful if a single new car is sold in the country without one. So what, exactly, is the need to suddenly make them "mandatory"?

Perhaps the answer lies in numerous other provisions that have nothing to do with highway construction, including, among many others, use of cell phones, coercing states on the issuance of drivers licenses, and a provision providing research money for "in-vehicle alcohol detection device research", presumably including the "trans-dermal sensor technology" that would allow the steering wheel of your car to test your skin for evidence of alcohol, and, if the sensor is not satisfied, turning off your car or preventing it from starting.

The bill is a cornucopia of such things, but don't worry - your data will be safe, until "the Secretary" wants it. The Secretary is permitted to “require an interoperable data access port to facilitate universal accessibility and analysis”. In case you don't know it, such data ports are quite frequently wireless. In other words, every conceivable thing taking place during your use of your car will be instantly available to "the Secretary" or his designees.

MO Atty does not pretend to have made more than a scratch in the surface of MAP-21. The terrible thing is that he may already know more about it than will the several hundred House members, including many Republicans, as they rubber stamp this thing. But again, don't worry: we can certainly trust anyone who is a "Nice Guy".

The Importance of Web Design

Running multiple websites can take time and effort. Making those sites look professional at a reasonable price is not the easiest thing for a webmaster to do. Users and potential customers use your website as a template to see what you are capable of. A poor website full of dead links or bad design can hurt your business plan. It is important that you do what you can to prevent this from happening. With the right research and resources, you can have the site that you have always thought of and that your readers desire.

With so many web design sites and firms, you need to make sure that you do your research thoroughly. The right choice can make a big difference in price and in design quality. RIP to Chuck Colson, My Former Boss

Chuck "Hatchet Man" Colson has passed away at the age of 80.  Most people remember him for his time in the Nixon white house and his role in Watergate.  I remember him as the head of organization that I once worked for Prison Fellowship Ministries.

I worked there only as a contractor and very briefly.  But it was a job that had a profound effect on me.  I remember that job and it's employees with great fondness and affection.  It is a charity that I donate to every year.  I believe in the cause.  They help everyone involved in the criminal justice system; the victims as well as the criminals.  They also help the families of those who are in jail.  Children are blameless and shouldn't be forgotten when they are dealing with the difficulties of having a parent(s) in jail.  They are the forgotten victims, but Chuck never forgot them.  Especially at Christmas time.  I happen to be working there during Christmas.  The luncheon that was put on for the employees was lovely, just lovely.  He also took the time to shake the hand of every employee, thank them and wish them a Merry Christmas.  Believe me, no "Happy Holidays" crap.  How many jobs do you know of that have a chapel that you can go and pray anytime you feel the desire?

The ministry employs people who are good Christians and are dedicated to the mission of bringing the word of Jesus to prisoners around the world.  They are now the largest prisoner outreach group in the world.  He dedicated his life to helping those in the prison system and the ones they left behind.  He changed many lives.

At the time many questioned his conversion to the Christian faith.  I suppose that was understandable.  The conventional meme is that he converted while in prison to hasten his release.  This is not the truth.  Yes, I know that you are shocked that the media isn't being honest about a Christian Conservative, but it is true.  Chuck converted before he went to trial, which is the reason that he pleaded guilty.  He accepted responsibility for his actions, did his time, and then proceeded to make a difference in the world after his release.  A difference that will live on, even with him gone.

Mr. Colson made mistakes, he was a sinner.  He stepped on whomever he needed to step on to help keep Nixon in power.  But he is a true story of redemption, in every sense of the word.

If you have never read his autobiography Born Again, you don't know what you are missing.  Yes, he was a sinner, but he was also a giant of a man.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Colson.  I will do what I can to help your legacy live on.  My deepest sympathies to his family on their loss.

Here is a great video, it talks about the totality of his life.  He sinned and he sought then found redemption.

Sunday Bible Story

By John Brentlinger

When Jesus lifted up his eyes, and saw a great multitude come to him, he said to Philip, where
shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he knew what he
was going to do. Philip answered him, two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient
for them, that everyone may take a little. So, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother said unto him,
there is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among
so many? And Jesus said, make the people sit down. John 6:5-10

Well, well, well, so there is such a thing as a free lunch. Interesting day, back about two
thousand years or so. No Panera Bread close by, or anywhere, for that matter. Nearest
panaderia was across the Sea of Gailiee. So, large crowd, lunchtime, nothing to eat, some
disciples without much faith, a little lad, and the Master.

Lets talk about the crowd first. They were a bit like you and me. They saw the miracles
Jesus had done, you know, the blind see, the lame walk, the sick are made whole, and guess
what -- they might get a free lunch. So they were only following Jesus for what they could
get. Free stuff. What is in it for me? That is one reason to follow Jesus; not a good one, but one reason. Today we call it the prosperity gospel, back then it was just called spiritual darkness.

How about those disciples? We may be sort of like them too. By then they had seen the water
turned to wine; sick children healed; a paralyzed man stand and walk; lepers cleansed; the blind received sight -- yet they were of so little faith-- perhaps like us-- they had no idea how Jesus would feed the people. They were so into being an adult, so into "I have to see it to believe it;" they had not yet learned to trust the power of Jesus. Sort of like you and me?

So Jesus turns to Philip and says, "Phil, whatsup; how are we going to feed these people?" Test time for Philip, and of course he fails miserably. "Duh, I dunno, we don't have enough money." Verse 6 says, "This he said to prove (test) him, for he knew what he was going to do." There is a lesson here for all of us adults who think we are so dang smart remember Jesus said, "Except you become as little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven." Its a good thing he did not say "except you become as adults;" can you imagine if heaven was only full of a bunch of grouchy, mean, weak-in-faith adults? So, Phil flunks a real simple test. He should have
said, "Master, I have seen the blind see, and the lame walk, I'm sure you'll think of something." But, that would require faith, which is usually lacking in adults. In most trials, with our religious sophistication, we are so smart, we always act dumb, we fail the test,
only to see it again a few weeks later.

The small lad is an interesting subject. Here is a kid following the crowd, hoping to see this Jesus, and he had the brains to bring something for lunch. Or, I should say, he had a mother who loved him and made sure he would not go hungry that day. And since there were five bread loaves, she probably said to him, "Okay son, I am sending extra in case someone else didn't
bring any lunch. Make sure you share." Hah -- can you see the lad at the supper table that night? His mother probably said, "so, did you share your lunch?" And the story this little lad got to tell the family. You just can't make that stuff up. Loving, faithful mothers, where
would we be without them?

And then of course, there is the miracle of turning the two small fish and five loaves into enough to feed five thousand people. No trouble in the doing of it. He is Jesus, the one who there in the beginning; the one who spoke the world into existence; the one who made all
things and by whom all things consist. Feed five thousand with one happy meal? Piece of cake. Only question is -- can we stop being adults long enough to have the faith of a child and believe Jesus for who he is?

Getting Rid of a Vehicle?

Maybe your car is ending its life expectancy. Your car has given you many good miles over the years, but it is headed towards a transmission or engine repair that you do not want to deal with. Or maybe the car is just getting out of style, and you would rather own a newer or trendier one. Maybe it is time to part ways, and you are just not sure how to do so. That is why you need to make sure that you are prepared to sell your car if you want to. To do so, you should make sure that you know the options at your disposal and which ones may be best for the purpose at hand. Not being prepared could be a major problem, especially if you want top dollar from your car. Selling a car can be tricky, especially with all of the different options out there. Being prepared for what you want, especially depending on the condition, is an important thing to do before you actually sell the vehicle itself. This way, you can protect yourself from being ripped off while also getting top dollar!

The car market is always one that has been important. If you are looking to raise some extra cash towards a newer car, you need to make sure that you can sell your old one for the price you deserve. In doing so, you can feel like you are not being ripped off and you can get the money for that new vehicle.
