Kerry: Climate Change Deniers Believe 'Earth is Flat'

John Kerry slammed "extreme" climate change "deniers" in Indonesia Sunday, calling them members of the "Flat Earth Society."

Mr. Kerry, speaking in Jakarta, demonized those who do not believe in climate change, claiming they were "hijacking the climate conversation" and were being paid by "big companies."

"We should not allow a tiny minority of shoddy scientists and science and extreme ideologues to compete with scientific facts," he warned. "Nor should we allow any room for those who think that the costs associated with doing the right thing outweigh the benefits."

Mr. Kerry then exclaimed, "The science is unequivocal, and those who refuse to believe it are simply burying their heads in the sand. We don't have time for a meeting anywhere of the Flat Earth Society."
At other points in his speech, Mr. Kerry stated that climate change is the world's worst "weapon of mass destruction," worse than chemical or nuclear warheads.

He stated, "In a sense, climate change can now be considered the world's largest weapon of mass destruction, perhaps even, the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction."

"This city, this country, this region, is really on the front lines of climate change," Mr. Kerry added at a different time in his speech. "It's not an exaggeration to say that your entire way of life here is at risk."

Mr. Kerry also stated that everyone must recognize the problem of climate change and take responsibility for it.

  1. I'm sure Freeman Dyson appreciates being called a 'shoddy scientist'.

  2. What I wanna know is, WHERE IS MY BIG CHECK from all of those "Big Companies"? I mean, it's got to be more than the $1 billion spent PER DAY paying the global warming disciples, correct?
