List of Democrats Voting Holder in Contempt

Update: The House has voted to hold Attorney General Holder in contempt. Seventeen (17) Democrats voted with Republicans. We will have an updated list as soon as possible. The names below are people who publicly came out against Holder before the vote today:

Already, there are a few democrat members of the House that have declared that they will be voting to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt. This on its face destroys the far-Left's assertions that the vote is strictly partisan. It is literally the opposite now: bi-partisan.

And the list is growing.

Representative Jim Matheson of Utah has declared that he would vote Holder in contempt. Mr. Matheson also unequivocally voiced his distaste for the corruption the Obama Administration is fostering, saying, "Sadly, it seems that it will take holding the attorney general in contempt to communicate that evasiveness is unacceptable. It is a vote I will support."
Mr. Matheson
Representative John Barrow of Georgia has also stated his support for finding Holder in contempt. Mr. Barrow said, in part, "the Attorney General has decided to withhold relevant documents. The only way to get to the bottom of what happened is for the Department of Justice to turn over the remaining documents, so that we can work together to ensure this tragedy never happens again."
Mr. Barrow
Representatives Nick Rahall of West Virginia and Collin Peterson of Minnesota have joined as well. Defending his planned vote, Peterson described the Obama Administration's rational for executive privileges as "gobbledygook." He went on to say, "I don’t know what the hell they are talking about."
Mr. Peterson
Echoing Peterson's sentiment, Rahall stated, "I don’t think executive privilege was warranted."
Mr. Rahall
The list is ever-growing. Already four brave democrats have come out against the corruption of the Obama Administration. With the vote tomorrow, there are estimates that as many as 20 democrats will vote to declare Holder in contempt.

Partisan Republican powergrab my ass.

  1. Don't be surpirsed to see Mike Ross [D- AR4] and Dan Boren [D- OK2] also vote Holder in contempt. Neither one of them are running for re-election, so it's not as though they could be pressured w/the prospect of losing re-election or anything.

  2. I'd bet you even more Democrats secretly support this vote then the predicted twenty that could jump ship and support charges of contempt, as any rational human being can tell there's a nasty cover-up involved and the AG is the one orchestrating it.

  3. Stumbled upon this article. I think you should know that the 20 democrats are from districts with heavy pro-gun populations & the NRA threatened to lower their NRA political rating if they don't vote in favor of contempt.

The NRA bullied and these particular democrats curled up in a ball.

  4. Will any of the Dodo's from California vote to squeeze Holder?

  5. Please take time to review the Fortune Magazine article about Fast and Furious before voting to find Eric Holder in contempt.

Fortune magazine reporter Katherine Eban reveals details of her “Fast and Furious” investigation that finds gun walking “proof” unreliable.
Eban says, “After six months of investigation, what became clear to me is that the things that Congress was holding up as centerpieces of proof that guns had been walked were, in fact, misconstrued, incorrect, resulted from other motives, other reasons, that there were alternate explanations and that really, this was a case of cherry picking, you know, small phrases, sentences, without any of the context really that you need in order to understand what actually happened in Phoenix Group Seven.”

These Democrats will find themselves in the same position that Colin Powell found himself in after his UN speech.

  6. Why the cover up? If Holder and Obama are innocent why hide evidence, why not defend yourself instead of acting cowardly?
