That was the resounding, ear-splitting commentary from "Don't Worry About the Price Tag," a music video that HealthCare.gov chose as its winner to a national competition in which proponents of ObamaCare made videos espousing the greatness of the law.
The title of "Don't Worry About the Price Tag" is fairly ironic, considering that the President had promised that Americans would see savings of up to $2,500 annual if his legislation was passed. It turned out to be a lie, like many of the President's promises about the ACA.
Among other things that the video says and asks are:
- "Why is everyone so oblivious?"
- "You're not immuned [sic] to all disease."
- "Can we all slow down?"
- "You're young and wild and free!"
Again, this was chosen as the very, very best that people who support ObamaCare can muster. Something tells me that not a single one of the 5.5 million people who have already lost their insurance because of this boongoggle will be put at ease if someone says, "You may have lost your insurance, but it ain't about the cha-ching cha-ching."
If you hate your eardrums, you can watch the entire video below:
Update: And the full, awful lyrics:
Seems like everything's about the change in the health care industry. When coverage expands and they can't reject your for condiditions that are pre-existing.
You're young and wild and free, but you need to stay healthy. There's no excuse to be uninsured. Just stop for a minute and think. You're not immuned to all disease. Take advantage of this opportunity. Keep your mind at ease and get some security.
Don't need a lot of money, money, money to stay young and healthy, healthy, healthy. We just want to make it more fair with affordable health care.
Ain’t about the cha-ching cha-ching, ain’t about the bling bla-bling. Affordable Care Act! Don't worry about the price tag.
I know we're in our prime. About time we open our eyes. We got to invest to be the healthiest. You can't put a price on life. Why is everyone so oblibious? Living without health care is serious.
Can we all slow down? Take time now, guarantee we'll be feeling alright.
