Stephen Colbert's South Carolina Primary Results

Unfortunately for Stephen Colbert, also known as Herman Cain, Herman Cain is only doing marginally well in South Carolina. Here are the results with 53.6% reporting:

Newt Gingrich- 40.3%
Mitt Romney- 26.4%
Rick Santorum- 18.0%
Ron Paul- 13.5%
Herman Cain- 1.0%
Update- With 62.7% reporting:

Newt Gingrich- 40.6%
Mitt Romney- 26.3%
Rick Santorum- 17.9%
Ron Paul- 13.4%
Herman Cain- 1.0%
Update- With 85.7% reporting:

Newt Gingrich- 40.4%
Mitt Romney- 27.1%
Rick Santorum- 17.4%
Ron Paul- 13.4%
Herman Cain- 1.0%
Update- With 94.9% reporting:

Newt Gingrich- 40.7%
Mitt Romney- 27.0%
Rick Santorum- 17.2%
Ron Paul- 13.3%
Herman Cain- 1.1%
Update-- With 98.8% reporting:

Newt Gingrich- 40.4%

Herman Cain has just broken 6,000 votes! That is only a mere 230,000 behind Newt Gingrich!

Newt Gingrich- 40.4%, 243,153 votes
Mitt Romney- 27.8%, 167,279
Rick Santorum- 17.0%, 102,055
Ron Paul- 13.0%, 77,993
Herman Cain- 1.1%, 6,324

  1. He's kicking the ass of all the other candidates that dropped out before now, including Rick Perry who *just* dropped out. Pretty awesome.

  2. Obama vs Gingrich. Now that'll be an interesting battle. (Chicago politics vs Congressional politics) Two seasoned politicians going at each other in a time of huge divisiveness in the nation. Wouldn't be surprised of they both started packing heat and pot-shotting each other.

  3. let the republicans fight it out by the time they have a candidate it will be obvious they are like baker or swaggert preach about family morals but so repugnant no one will want them
