Mitt on Newt: It's Like Lucille Ball

HT: ABC News

Newt Gingrich's comparison of his failure to quallify for Virginia's GOP Primary ballot to Pearl Harbor has received blowback from commenters and opinionists, but none have quite accurately described how it really compares. Until Mitt Romney's comments on the subject earlier today:

"I think he compared it to Pearl Harbor. It's more like Lucille Ball and the chocolate factory," said Romney at a campaign event in Portsmouth, N.H. "You got to get it organized."

Shazam!

Considering the candidate knew of the impending deadline and the number of signatures needed, and he was overwhelmed at the last minute.. I would agree with Mr. Romney, the failure to qualify is like Lucy, and the primary voters who now only have two choices should be like Ricky and demand some splainin'

What say you?

  1. Well said Mitt. Well Said.

Now if only Mitt would let Newt sing down at the club.......

  2. The whole thing about Newt Gingrich and Pearl Harbor is over-blown. His campaign director posted this supposed comment on Facebook. Gingrich never said it in a speech or an interview. People who keep repeating this are propagating the muck-racking of the MSM. Obama makes true blunders in speeches that never get reported, but some claims on Facebook that Gingrich said something and it gets plastered all over the news and bloggers. Wise up people. Stop doing the job of the MSM in smearing our own candidates.

  3. Plus, it now appears that the rules for submitting signatures changed at the last minute. In 2008 the sheets did not need to be notarized and the threshold was raised from 10,000 to 15,000 in late October. Ya'll need to have some skepticism for what you read in the media and start thinking for yourselves and digging a little deeper. http://preview.tinyurl.com/6ojt7h2
