Rumor: Christie Backers told to Assemble in Trenton on Thursday

According to new information, key Chris Christie backers have been told to go to Trenton, New Jersey on Thursday. This information comes as reports fly that the New Jersey Governor is actively thinking about jumping into the race. Rumors have also mentioned that Nancy Reagan and George W. Bush are pushing for him to enter the fray.

A top Christie backer last week claimed that he was told not to support another candidate until this week. Now we get word that fundraisers are told to assemble in New Jersey's capital later this week.

Big potential donors to Christie have been told to prepare to go to Trenton this Thursday to stand on stage with him for the announcement if he decides to run. He has not decided yet.

The Governor has been holding his cards close to his chest and has not been as unequivocal in his denials of running. His speech at the Reagan Library received standing ovations and a woman begging for him to enter the race.
