Football Union Opts to Decertify

Chances of a 2011-2012 football season have significantly decreased today, as the NFL Players Union has chosen to decertify after talks broke down.

Though I don't always support unions, and though I am a lowly blogger, at the moment I am siding with the Players' Union.  Owners demanded a multitude of changes arbitrarily and the players tried to compromise.  The owners said no and the players extended the talks.

Payton Manning, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees have led a antitrust lawsuit against the NFL.

Compromise, idiots, or you lose money and normal folks lose football.

  1. The owners risk hundres of millions, even billions in those teams - the players are guaranteed millions due to salary and the sponsorship deals. It's about time owners receive more of the dough.
