Death Threats Against Palin's Parents

Sarah Palin is one of the most prolific public figures in the country today. She has made millions with book tours and is one of the most well-known people in the country. She is also one of the most hated people in the United States, with liberals sometimes calling for her death quite publicly.

Considering all of the talk about civility since the attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in Tucson, and the effort to paint Srah Palin as the accomplice-- we would think that sanctimonious left-wingers would not degrade themselves by threatening Palin.

But what about her parents? Politico is reporting that there have been death threats made against Palin's two parents, who both reside in Alaska.

Palin’s father told the network about a man who had recently sent the family a photocopied receipt of a gun he’d purchased. The man was later arrested by the FBI, but Chuck Heath says incidents like that have the family worried.

“We sleep with the guns,” Palin’s father said.

Threatening Sarah Palin physically is reprehensible-- but her parents? This is beyond sadistic. It's a mixture of absurd obsession, hatred, and stupidity.
