Vote in Our Poll: Should Doctors Handing out Fake Notes in Wisc. lose their Licenses?

Since it broke yesterday, this story has been igniting the internet and blogosphere.  Multiple doctors have been reportedly handing out phony "doctor's notes" in order to prolong and enliven union rallies in Wisconsin.  While unethical and underhanded by itself, these fake notes also break several "rules," as pointed out by this physician:
Is it really his position that he is conducting medical examinations in the midst of thousands of people while attaining a right to privacy? One of the most important things in a genuine patient/physician interaction is honesty and this [man] is dishonest!
The question is, what should happen to them.  Most of their names have been leaked, so they will be unable to escape their actions.  Even Andrew Breitbart was able to get a phony note.  So, what do they deserve?  You decide, you vote:

  2. Department of Family Medicine. What a shock. FM seems to be getting all of the militant political activists in recent years.

  3. These docs are in the clammy hands of the AMA and SEIU apparently. This is really a horrid thing to do when we are talking about health costs. Will these excuses actually be denied by school systems and will those teachers be penalized too? I hope so. The doc superiors must deal with this unfair baloney and do it quickly. To allow this faux ability to give strikers some leeway is really not cricket for others who play by the system of really needing doc help.

  5. @ ID - the dept of famiy medicine - my bet is they are all the docs who couldn't get into a residency that offered a more lucrative career (i.e. radiology, surgery, dermatology) and are now pissed off b/c they don't have a "level playing field" as the left demands.

  7. Y'all are WAY behind on this one. Andrew Breitbart actually created this whole mess in a fictional state called "Wisconsin." Check Mike Flynn's post at Big Government. The whole thing was staged.

  8. The absolutely should. They are giving the person they hand the note to the ability to commit fraud.
