Walt Disney Co. Gives $5,000 to Grayson Campaign

Alan Grayson is a freshman Congressman from the state of Florida. Recently he released an incendiary ad that compared his opponent, Daniel Webster, to terrorists.  Soon after its release, the commercial was proven to not only be false, but that Grayson's campaign intentionally edited the video in the ad to take Webster's words out of context.  According to polls, this has hurt the Congressman in the eyes of voters.

However, looking at Grayson's campaign contributions, you would think that his campaign is steam-rolling the competition.  According to the political contribution tracking site OpenSecrets.org, Grayson has recently received exactly $17,049 from the controversial liberal website MoveOn.org.

This makes sense.  MoveOn.org is known for supporting fringe candidates and fringe actions.  In fact, the website even calls Grayson a "Hero" and a "champion."  However, looking at other contributions to Grayson's campaign, several oddities stick out.

The greatest of this is the major contribution given to him by Walt Disney Co. of $5,250.  The company that gave the world Mickey Mouse is also apparently trying to give Florida another character, but this time it's someone who seems to be mentally unstable.  Apparently Disney is unaware of Grayson's deceitful ads and his warning that people will become cannibals should the government spend less money:

Oddly, Lockheed Martin has also contributed $3,000 to the Grayson campaign:

Not unusual is the number of unions that have given to the Grayson campaign.  Of the top 100 organizations that contributed to Grayson, 15 actually have "union" in their name.  Other unions are also in the top 100, but they do not actually have "union" in their name, like the National Air Traffic Controllers Association.

While it may seem unbelievable, Grayson has raised a total of  $3,719,006, which is over twice the average Congressman raises for their campaign.   Grayson has spent $1,881,582 of the funds and is currently $850,966 in debt.
