Election 2010: Rossi leads Murray by one point.

Republican Dino Rossi maintained his small lead over Senator Pat Murray today, as a brand new poll out of Rasmussen Reports has the two-time failed Gubernatorial candidate in a good position with five days to go until election day. The Senator has now trailed her Republican in two straight polls, which indicates a possible upset on election night.

Rasmussen Reports survey of 750 Likely Voters:
Dino Rossi (R) - 48%.
Pat Murray (D) - 47%.
Someone else - 3%.
Not sure - 2%.

Senator Murray has increasingly come under fire from Conservatives, such as from columnist Ann Coulter, as it's become apparent that she is in deep trouble against Dino Rossi, who won the GOP Nomination with relative ease against the former National Football League player Chris Dider, who was backed by Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in the early August Primary.

Capturing this seat is vital to Republican hopes of regaining the Senate, which is still statistically possible, but realistically doubtful unless a miracle occurs.
