Election 2010: Martinez maintains lead in New Mexico.

Three weeks after Rasmussen gave Republican Susana Martinez a nine point lead over Diane Denish, the current Democratic Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico, the Albuquerque Journal has Martinez up by ten points, with just 48 hours until the polls open all across the once Democratic leaning State.

Albuquerque Journal Survey of 1,003 Likely Voters:
Susana Martinez (R) - 52%.
Diane Denish (D) - 42%.
Undecided/Not sure - 6%.

Martinez is the first Hispanic Woman to receive the Gubernatorial Nomination of either major Party in this Country, but you wouldn't know it by looking close at the data within the aforementioned poll: only 37% of New Mexican Hispanics support Martinez's bid for the Governor's Mansion, while over 60% of Anglos in the State support her on the racial flip side.
Martinez
Democrats have been in control of New Mexico's government for eight years as of today, and the people have had enough. Out with the corrupt Bill Richardson, who actually had to drop out of the running for the Secretary position within the United States Department of Commerce. And in with New Mexico's "Prosecutor of the Year" award winner for 2010: Susana Martinez.

Also, just in case someone tells you that New Mexican Republicans are opposing the candidacy of Susana Martinez for racial reasons, please be aware that nine in ten Republicans will vote for her on Tuesday, and even 25% of Democrats cross the aisle in support of her, at least as of this morning.

Democrat control of New Mexico is slipping, and we could be witnessing history in action. Buckle up for one hell of an election night. Any thoughts?
