Police have announced that a University of Merced student, Faisal Mohammad, was behind the stabbing earlier this week. An eyewitness described Mohammad as smiling and enjoying the attack.
Five people were injured in the attack while Mohammad was shot dead by police.
Police are looking for a warrant to search his house and are investigating his social media accounts.
