Ben Carson: A Muslim should not become President of the United States

This should stir up things even more on the campaign trail this week.

On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson told NBC's "Meet the Press" that he thinks the U.S. shouldn't elect a Muslim president.

“I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that," Carson said.

Carson went on to say that a President’s religious faith shouldn’t be “inconsistent with the values of America.”

“But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution, no problem,” Carson said.
