Why So Many American Ostriches? Connecting the Destruction of America Dots, Part I

Contributor article by Teri O'Brien

Watching our the deliberate and orchestrated destruction of America, inspires me to ask an important question. Isn’t the first duty of citizenship becoming well-informed?

Some people make things happen. Some people watch what happens. Some people look up and say “What just happened?” -Unknown

I know that you, Dear Reader, share the frustration that I felt over the last seven years, watching the very predictable continued economic stagnation, flouting of the law and contempt for the Constitution, and relentless race-baiting that we knew would happen if we allowed Barack Obama anywhere near the Oval Office. We (and by “we” I don’t mean you or me, but our fellow Americans, and voting illegal aliens) elect a radical leftist on the record for decades as hostile toward the founding of the country and our precious Constitution, mentored from childhood by a card-carrying communist, who spent 20 years listening to racist, anti-Semitic screeching of an unhinged preacher. What could possibly go wrong? Now here we are, where we feared we would end up. Our horrifying vision of America’s future with Obama as president has become a depressing reality.

That’s frustrating, and even infuriating, but you know what’s even worse? The fact that so many of our fellow citizens appear incapable of appreciating that our country is being destroyed by this enemy within. They seem perfectly content to live in La-La Land, thinking that because they can go shopping, go to restaurants and take a family vacation, everything is fine and dandy. Perhaps for them, at least on the surface, it is. I wonder if the family of Kate Steinle, the San Francisco woman murdered by an illegal alien who had been deported 5 times, were like so many Americans. Before July 1, 2015, were they walking around in blissful ignorance, only to be confronted by the ugly reality that is Obama’s cynical open border policy when Kate bled out on Pier 14, saying her last words “help me Dad?”

That case has gotten an amazing amount of publicity, but it is far from the only such case in our country. Just this week, in Ohio, there is the case of Juan Emmanuel Razo.

From cleveland.com:

"Lake County sheriff’s deputies learned that Juan Emmanuel Razo was in the U.S. illegally from Mexico more than two weeks before his arrest in the death of a 60-year-old Concord Township woman.

"Razo made his first court appearance Tuesday in the death of Margaret Kostelnik where a judge set a $10 million bond. He’s also accused in the attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl and the shooting of another woman who survived.

"Razo pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder, but still faces possible murder and other charges in connection to the other incidents.

"Lake County Sheriff’s Det. Brian Butler said during the court hearing that during a July 7 traffic stop, deputies contacted border patrol agents who advised the sheriff’s office not to detain Razo despite his status as an undocumented immigrant."

The border patrol wouldn’t arrest this dirt bag. Why? For the same reason Kate Steinle’s killer was in this country. It’s also the same reason that Denny McCann, another human sacrifice to  Barack Obama’s identity politics, was killed in Obama’s adopted home town, Chicago, run down by a illegal alien drunk driver. As we have been discussing in the last several months on The Teri O’Brien Show, Obama and the democrats are hell-bent on changing the demographics of this country to enhance their election prospects. The goal is to turn the whole country into Cook County writ large. Yes, Cook County is a “sanctuary” county, thanks to the sleazy local democrat officials who rule it, including the contemptible Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinckle, who sought the designation to pander to mascot groups, including those afore-mentioned voting illegal aliens.

An interesting aside: in his July 27, 2015 appearance on NBC’s Meet The Press, Ohio governor John Kasich, referring to illegal aliens, stated “if they’re hardworking, God-fearing, family people, they go to church, they work with us, let them stay. …if they’re part of our culture now and society, and they’re doing fine, they’re hardworking, they’re just like all of us, then I think they can stay.”  That’s a new one. It’s been bad enough over the last ten years, hearing amnesty advocates in both parties tell us that illegals will “have to learn English,” which caused me to ask whether we are going to hire English police to administer pop quizzes to them. Now, what? Church attendance police? It’s ridiculous, of course, as is the candidacy of the buffoonish, narcissistic RINO Mr. Kasich.

So, here’s the question: where’s the outrage? Is it possible that so many of our fellow citizens don’t care what sort of country they pass on to future generations? Can they really look into the eyes of their grandchildren, knowing what is happening to the nation that so many shed so much blood and paid so much treasure to create and preserve, and just head out to the mall, pretending everything is just fine? Will they wake up one day and be slapped in the face by reality like the family of Kate Steinle? Is that what it will take to get them to care and join us in doing something?

Why do you think that so many Americans seem if not oblivious to the destruction of America, indifferent? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Think it’s just illegals committing crimes in America? In Part II, we’ll explain why unfortunately that is not true.
