Obama administration: No big deal that Iran is building 2 new nuclear plants

obama_iran_missles-550x366-300x199What part of radical Islam and the fact Iran wants the total destruction of Israel does the Obama administration not understand? The Obama State Department has made it perfectly clear that they think it's no big deal that the Iranians are building two brand new nuclear plants.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced on Wednesday that his country is currently building the new reactor nuclear plants in the southern Bushehr region of Iran.

“Construction of two new power plants will increase the capacity of Bushehr province’s power generation to 2,000 megawatts.

“The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is an example showing that Iran is only looking for a civilian use of the nuclear energy and for power generation,” Rouhani said.

Of course, Rouhani failed to mention his government's continued threats calling for the total destruction of Israel. And, the Vladimir Putin and the Russians are aiding the Iranians in the construction of these new nuclear plant.

What could possibly go? Not much according to the Obama Statement Department, which doesn't seem overly concerned with this latest development concerning Iran's nuclear program.

“We are aware of the announcement and are reviewing the details. In general, the construction of light water nuclear reactors is not prohibited by U.N. Security Council resolutions, nor does it violate the JPOA.

“We have been clear in saying that the purpose of the negotiations with Iran is to ensure that Iran’s nuclear program remains exclusively for civilian, peaceful purposes. The talks that we have been engaged in for months involve a specific set of issues relative to closing off all possible pathways to Iran acquiring a nuclear bomb. That remains our focus,” a State Department spokesperson said.
