Interview with the Author of "The Whistleblower"

Pundit Press is proud to present its 56th interview in out on-going series. Today, the Author of The Whistleblower: How the Clinton White House Stayed in Power to Reemerge in the Obama White House and on the World Stage was kind enough to answer our questions:

1. When and why did you decide to write The Whistleblower: How the Clinton White House Stayed in Power to Reemerge in the Obama White House and on the World Stage?

It’s a long story but here is the short version. Over eleven years ago I had spent seven months undercover (off and on) writing Linda’s Tripp’s story, and the events that led to President Bill Clinton’s impeachment only to discover that both sides of the aisle were wrong—the truth lay in the middle. President Bill Clinton was in the White House at the time and Hillary Clinton was running for U.S. Senator in New York. After Linda Tripp’s criminal lawyer Joseph Murtha erroneously accused me of sabotaging her book in the Washington Post in 2000 I first tried to set the record straight on the Clinton era by pitching articles because I believe Americans deserve to know what happens in their White House. Contrary to public opinion at that time, Linda was not a gossipy, evil whistleblower bent on destroying the Clintons—rather she had protected them by towing-the-line and being a ‘team player’ in the earlier investigations. This is critical in understanding how corrupt politicians stay in power and also explains why Linda tape recorded Monica Lewinsky for insurance to protect herself from them. Linda was not vilified and smeared over BJ’s in the Oval office. That’s ridiculous, and I thought Americans deserved to know the truth about Hillary’s role in the White House and during the Clinton-gate investigations. Then the Bush-Gore recount sucked the oxygen out of the news cycle. Hillary won her Senate bid and nobody would touch this story.

Then I wrote The Whistleblower book proposal and for years the ‘establishment’ and the ‘experts’ told me to move on because the Clintons were old news. But as we now know they were wrong. The Clintons are back in power in the Obama White House and on the world stage.

During the 2008 Democratic presidential contest when Hillary was running for president, one publisher sat on the proposal and passed on it days after Hillary conceded. Had she won the nomination, I imagine The Whistleblower would have been published then. I don’t think people realize how politicized the publishing industry has become. There were editors who wouldn’t read the proposal because of the subject matter. It’s chilling. When reporters stop chasing facts, stop speaking truth to power and start writing spin and publicity stunts disguised as news, they cease being reporters. The same goes for civil servants, like Linda was—if they stop serving America’s interests, and decline to expose corruption if they encounter it, they cease being civil servants. It’s a big reason why America is in trouble today and one of the reasons why I wrote The Whistleblowers. Aside from rare exceptions, everything is upside down.

I decided to try again to have The Whistleblower published as I watched history repeat itself in the Obama White House with the same players from the Clinton era, who share the same ideology, and use the same tactics and strategies to stay in power. Thank God I succeeded. History is repeating itself, most notably in Chairman Darrell Issa’s Fast and Furious investigation. If we don’t learn from the history of the Clinton era, expect more corruption and chaos. Expect the Obama White House investigations to end up in the re-written dust bin of history with the Clinton investigations.

2. What is the most surprising way the Clintons have clung to power?

Nothing they do to stay in power surprises me anymore. Once you understand Saul Alinsky and his man-made progressive social justice ideology where the ‘ends justify the means,’ I think you will agree. What is most troubling however, is how the Clintons and Obama have no regard for anyone but themselves. To be able to destroy innocent Americans ---attempt to criminalize them to stay to power requires callousness and a lack of conscience I cannot fathom. They are bullies. In Linda’ case the intimidation began early with the threat of losing her job and escalated to death threats into a safe house to a bogus criminal indictment. As I document in The Whistleblower, once you turn off the cameras you see how even the Clintons “friends” (like Obama’s friends) are disposable when they are no longer useful. Anyone who thinks they are immune are deluding themselves. I hope The Whistleblower provides a warning and a wake-up call for those in government and the media. Now is the time to draw a line in the sand. Tell the truth or become just as corrupt. You cannot serve under corrupt leadership and not become corrupt yourself. For too long people have looked the other way, rarely is anyone held accountable, and the corruption in Washington has metastasized like a cancer.

3. How has the Obama Administration taken the politics of personal destruction to the next level?

Instead of targeting individual Americans the Obama administration is targeting entire segments of Americans. The Clinton’s successfully used the ‘nuts, sluts, opportunists, and vast right-wing conspiracy’ enemy label to agitate and divide and conquer. It’s far more dangerous now. The politics of personal destruction started immediately under President Obama when Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security demonized over twenty-three million military personnel after a DHS report declared that veterans could be potential domestic terrorists. Next Tea Party patriots were accused of racism when no proof existed. Capitalists and conservatives remain under intense fire. Linda once said to me, “If you believe nothing else, believe this: If the Clintons can do this to me, they can do it to you.” She was right.

Look at the Trayvon Martin shooting, and the media and the Obama administration’s response. Hillary and Obama’s mentor Saul Alinsky advocates playing the race card as a tactic to advance their agenda. As Alinsky wrote in his book Rules for Radicals: “The pressure that gave us our positive power was the negative of racism in a white society. We exploited it for our own purposes.” Americans need to learn the tactics and strategies these politicos use to stay in power to understand what is happening in their country and what they can do about it.

4. Any plans for a sequel?

Possibly. In the meantime, I have released audio accompaniments for The Whistleblower. You can listen to them at my website.

Linda was concerned that the Clintons might try and plant someone near her to keep tabs and keep her silent. She was also concerned the Clintons would try and sabotage anything she did. Initially that sounded a little paranoid and off-the-wall to me – but not so much after spending extensive covert time with her and seeing behind the smoke and mirrors of the Clinton White House spin. I’d love readers’ feedback on whether or not Linda was right to worry about a Clinton plant. I have a poll on my website: marinkapeschmann.com they can participate in.

5. You write that the Obama Administration is largely staffed by Clinton-era veterans. Wouldn't this be necessary due to their experience? How is this different than in past administrations?

It’s not necessarily different but what is different is during the Clinton era a special justice system was created for them that doesn’t apply to the rest of Americans. If the Clintons and former Clinton staffers were held to the same legal standards that all Americans must adhere to and they didn’t use the strategies and tactics I document in The Whistleblower to thwart investigators, it is unlikely that people like Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder (remember Pardongate?) would be permitted to serve in government again. If you or I withheld documents under subpoena, for example, or were “factually incorrect” with federal investigators, we’d be held in contempt or possibly thrown in jail--not serving in high level government positions like the secretary of state or as the attorney general. The question for today is will congress learn from history or let them get away with it again.
