Three Blasts Rock Mogadishu

At least 11 are dead after three blasts hit a hotel in Mogadishu. The first was a car bomb, followed by an explosion that targeted emergency services, followed by another an hour later.
"A booby-trapped car exploded against Hotel Jazeera," Muhidin Ahmed, a police officer, said referring to the first blast, adding that it caused an unspecified number of deaths.

"It appears to be a suicide attack."

There was an intense gun battle that followed the blasts.
