Breaking: a verdict has been reached in the Jodi Arias aggravation phase after approximately one and a half hours of deliberation. The jury must come back either "proven" or "not proven." "Proven" means that the prosecution has proved that Arias committed murder in a particularly cruel manner. Next the jury will decide if Arias deserves the death penalty. "Not proven" means that the trial is over, Arias will not receive the death penalty, and the judge will decide whether Arias will receive life in prison without or with parole.
