FBI Thwarts Terror Attack in Minnesota

From Pioneer Press:
The FBI said Monday, May 6, that it thwarted a suspected terror attack by a Montevideo, Minn., man and that "the lives of several local residents were potentially saved."

Buford Rogers, 24, was arrested Friday after law enforcement searched his home and discovered Molotov cocktails, suspected pipe bombs and firearms. One firearm recovered from Rogers' residence was a Romanian AKM assault rifle.

"The information which we had led us to believe that a terror attack was planned," said Kyle A. Loven, chief division counsel with the FBI in Minneapolis.

People should always be vigilant, Loven said, as the investigation continues, Loven said.

"But with respect to this terror plot, we no longer believe the public is in danger," he said.
