Ahmadinejad to Protest Mashei Ballot Booting

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is reportedly furious with the Iranian election commission's decision to remove his close ally Esfandiar Mashei off of the ballot in the upcoming election. Mashei was removed along with former President Rafsanjani. Ahmadinejad is prepared to contest the decision.
"In my opinion there will be no problem with the leader [Khamenei] and I will take up this issue until the last moment with him," Mr Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying on Wednesday.
"I am hopeful the problem will be solved," he added.
