Suspicious Packages Prompt Evacuations on Capitol Hill

From Fox 5:
Parts of the U.S. Capitol are being cleared after authorities announced suspicious packages on the first and third floors of the Hart Senate Office Building and a suspicious envelope in the Russell Senate Office Building at the office of Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama.

A suspicious package was removed form the Hart Senate Office Building and suspicious envelopes were removed from the third floors of both the Hart and Russell Senate Office Buildings, and the areas were reopen, Capitol police said Wednesday.

The evacuations came shortly after the FBI confirmed a letter addressed to President Obama initially has tested positive for the deadly poison ricin.

Tuesday a letter sent to Miss. Sen. Roger Wicker also tested positive for ricin.
