Dzokhar Tsarnaev "Conscious and Responding"

HT: The Independent

Dzokhar Tsarnaev, one of two brothers responsible for last week's heinous Boston Marathon bombings, is reportedly conscious and responding to investigators after being in critical condition since his arrest, although his responses are limited to writing as he has a severe throat wound due to an alleged failed suicide attempt.

Tsarnaev, who along with his brother Tamerlan are responsible for the deaths of four people and the fear of all of Boston, is most likely being questioned as to whether they were acting alone, or had accomplices, and whether there are any more explosive devices out there.

But as investigators finally get a break in the interrogation process, the pressure is being turned up on them as we learn the Federal Bureau of Investigation questioned Tamerlan over two years ago on the unusual request of Russia based on Kremlin suspicions he was a radical follower of Islam, and desired to join terrorist groups in their country.

Why did the FBI investigate the Kremlin's suspicions but then drop all interest in Tamerlan, especially after he took an unexplained trip to Russia for six months just one year after being tipped off about his ideological extremism? These are troubling questions that need answering just as much as Dzokhar's.

With the terrorist now talking to investigators, the questioning of all parties involved is just beginning.

What say you?
