Allen West: "Lincoln Only Served One Term..."

HT: Breitbart

Former U.S. Congressman and Lt. Colonel Allen West refused to close the door on his political career during an interview with NPR last Friday, but one comment has caught the Conservative movement by storm: "...Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too."

The implied meaning, that Lincoln went from a single term in the House to the highest office in America, is rather hard to miss, especially within circles that had long shot hopes of the outspoken Congressman receiving the Vice-Presidential nomination early this year.

However, I will throw a little cold water on their fire, as Abraham Lincoln was known as a great orator and a leader in one of the most important questions of our time, while West, albeit a strong military man in his own right, is one of many voices fighting to lead in today's GOP, and many in the establishment view him as too incendiary to trust with a national speakerphone.

Regardless, the thought of a 2016 West run is quite interesting and I would definitely welcome a campaign from this American war hero and all-around bad ass.

What say you?
