An airport spokesperson told FOX 29 at 11:43 a.m. that the airport is closed, it's a police matter, and police are handling the situation.
But FOX 29's Sean Tobin reported from the scene that planes were taking off again by 11:52 a.m.
There are multiple unconfirmed reports on Twitter from people claiming to be passengers on planes at PHL that a Jeep was being driven on the runway, but that vehicle has been stopped.
