South Carolina Votes

The good people of South Carolina are heading to the polls today to make their selection for the 2012 GOP nomination and if today's vote is as crazy as the past week has been, who knows whats going to happen when the results start rolling in.

So who's going to win?

I personally have no idea, although I'm rooting for Romney, but the tea leaves and polls are all saying Gingrich is going to pull off one very impressive come-from-behind victory tonight. However, I'd say that depends on whether voters go stronger for Santorum then expected and if Romney keeps his 30% base and steals some undecideds.

Regardless, the vote is going to be close tonight and I don't expect an early call in this one.

What say you?

P.S. - My official prediction is 1. Romney; 2. Gingrich; 3. Paul and 4. Santorum.

  1. We're trying to live blog coverage of the election here in South Carolina. Gingrich will win the Upstate and Romney will win the Low Country, while the midlands will be a toss up with Gingrich eeking out a slim victory. As you say, Ron Paul will come in third overall, but he will come in a strong second in the Upstate.
