Virginia Tech Shooting Alert

There is breaking news that there has been a shooting near the Virginia Tech campus. This comes after the horrible 2007 shooting that killed over 30 people.

A police officer has been shot.

MSNBC reported earlier that shots had been exchanged between a suspect and a police officer during a traffic stop.

Virginia Tech said on its website on Thurday: "Suspect remains at large. A police officer has been shot. A potential second victim is reported at the Cage lot. Stay indoors. Secure in place."
