Perry Gaffe: Supreme Court Edition

Texas Governor Rick Perry has done it again.

While answering a question on judicial activism yesterday, Perry not only mispronounced Justice Sonia Sotomayor's name, but he also said there were eight Justices on the Supreme Court, when any d+ civics student would correctly tell you there is nine. Even worse, he did all of this during an interview with the editorial board of The Des Moine Register.

I don't know what Perry's problem is - he has been elected to political office after office for well over 2 decades now, but he's answering questions and debating like he's running for class president. It doesn't make any practical sense, but in politics - what really does, anymore?

What say you?

  1. You have to wonder if he really doesn't want to be president and all of this is Freudian.
