Celebrate for Libya

Today was a great day.

Libyan despot Muammar Qaddaffi was effectively overthrown by NATO backed rebels this afternoon when they successfully won the Battle for Tripoli.

Many are already looking to the future with justified worries about who will take over, but I think we should look at the present with satisfaction real quick: the man responsible for numerous attacks against Americans, civilian and military, is out of power after four decades of tyranny.

Tomorrow is uncertain; yesterday was dreadful, but today is wonderful for the people of Libya, and frankly, for us as well. This was a victory for NATO and the United States. I only wish this happened back in March - before thousands of innocent Libyans died and our creditability took a hit.

What say you?
