Jeter Homers for 3,000th Hit

Yankee great Derek Jeter homered to left-field this afternoon to become only the 28th major leaguer, and somewhat surprisingly the first ever Yankee, to reach 3,000 career hits.

Even though I am not a fan of the Yankees, I have always admired Jeter's great athletic ability - and now millions of future baseball fans will when they see his amazing stats, or his plaque at the Baseball Hall-of-Fame in Cooperstown, NY.

  2. Hate the Yankees, like Jeter. As Mike G. said, he kept clean and he's not a douchebag like Bonds or Clemens. Good for him
