Al-Qaida's East African Chief Killed

HT: Ynetnews

More great news in America's ongoing War on Terrorism.

Fazul Abdullah Mohammad, who was responsible for terrorist attacks in Kenya and Tanzania, was killed earlier this week by Somalian forces in Mogadishu. He was the presumed head of al-Qaida in East Africa and the United States had a $5 million bounty on his head.

We've long sought him for his involvement in the 1998 United States embassy bombings, which resulted in the deaths of twelve American citizens, including two CIA agents. The deadly attacks made Americans aware of the real Jihadist threat that faced us for the first time.

Although we didn't completely understand the threat until September 2001.

I'm very hopeful that Fazul Mohammad's death will help Somalian and African Union troops gain the upper hand in their fight against the Somalian affiliate of al-Qaida.

What say you?
