Oil Drops for Second Day

The price of commodities appear to be slipping even further. Oil saw a precipitous drop below $100 a barrel, falling $8 on the markets. Today it appears that both oil and silver are taking a beating on the floor.

Hopefully oil can keep falling. Now it's below $97.

In the past week, oil prices have tumbled more than 10% on worries that recent disappointing economic reports may mean we are in for an economic slowdown.

Investors are already on edge ahead of Friday's jobs report (due at 8:30 a.m. ET), with stocks taking a big hit Thursday.

With the jobs report conflicting, its effect on oil prices aren't clear.
