Extend Robert Mueller's Term

Washington is debating today whether FBI Director Robert Mueller's ten-year term, which is currently due to expire on September third, should be extended another two years to maintain continuity in America's national security team.

Most Senators, who have the final word over all Presidential appointments and nominations, are supporting the call to extend Mr. Mueller's extension because we're living "in extraordinary times," while others are unsure whether its really a good idea to give Mueller an exemption that was put in place for a reason.

So what should lawmakers do?

With the vital positions of Secretary of Defense; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director of the CIA all turning over to brand new men within the next couple of months, I believe we cannot afford to have our entire national defense aparatus staffed with four new guys on top.

One guy has to stay. And who better than Robert Mueller; the man who came in the exact same week as the 9/11 attacks and who transformed America's leading domestic crime fighting agency into one that operates across the entire world in order to prevent future terrorist attacks on our nation.

Mueller's term should be extended by two years. He has earned it.

What say you?

  1. So the other guys don't have the chance. Why does he get such special treatment? All I hear about is your precious Dr. Mueller you should think of your other high power candidates. Give them the same opportunity, before you start losing good workers.
