Canadian Tories win Majority in Parliament

Good news for Matt. According to the CBC, It appears that the Conservative Party, led by Stephen Harper will win a majority in the Canadian Parliament. The NDP is also a big winner, as they will become the official opposition in Parliament for the first time.

However, both the Liberals and Bloc Quebecois are the big losers in the election. The Liberals, who dominated Canadian government for much of the century, are going to be the party with the third amount of seats in Parliament. The Bloc Quebecois are also big losers, having lost a lot of its seats to the NDP. Both the Liberal leader, Michael Ignatieff, and the BQ leader, Gilles, Duceppe, risk losing their seats in Parliament.
