Bachmann Leads With 27% Against Fellow Dark Horses

So who would the Republican electorate support if none of the front-runners enter the race? Rasmussen Reports recently asked the question, and the results just might surprise you.

27% of voters would support Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann for the GOP Nomination if there were no front-runners (Gingrich, Huckabee, Palin, Romney and Trump) competing. Her name recognition is one reason she performs so well against Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Jon Huntsman and Rick Perry.

Surprised?

I'm not.

Michele Bachmann is a force of nature that cannot be controlled. She says what she wants, when she wants to, and without any regard for the consequences. That kind of passion is something that the base loves...and wants more of on the national scene.

Unfortunately for Mrs. Bachmann, one of the aforementioned front-runners (probably Romney) will pick up the ball and run for the endzone this upcoming primary season, and her main passion of saying whatever she wants will agonize 70% of the Party. Just look at her recent comparison of the Holocaust to heavy taxation, even Charlie Sheen could see it wasn't "winning."

So the forceful Congresswoman has little chance of actually winning anything during a potential Presidential campaign, but she is the queen of the dark horses.

What say you?
