Support For Hydraulic Fracturing From a Most Unusual Place?

Gasland producer Josh Fox appeared on MSNBC with Dylan Ratigan and Elena Craft of the Environmental Defense fund. Surprisingly, Fox is forcefully challenged on the facts related to hydraulic fracturing specifically and natural gas production in general. He is pressed to outline his plans for energy independence which boil down to, "carbon bad, wind/solar good."

While Fox waxes poetic about the fictional notion that wind and solar energy can exclusively drive America's economy, Environmental Defense Fund's Elena Craft - an air quality specialist- tells Ratigan this: "At EDF, I think we're realists. We realize that natural gas is part of a diverse energy portfolio."

Take home quote, MSNBC's Ratigan to Gasland's Josh Fox: "I'm not looking to get a propaganda speech from you."
