Obama Admin Asks UN for Libya Airstrikes

The Obama Administration has made a step forward in confronting Libya. According to sources, the United States is seeking UN authorization for airstrikes in Libya. Still, it cannot be ascertained if this action has taken place simply because the Administration knows that it will go nowhere. The Administration in some ways has already tied its hands:
The Obama administration said it would not act without Security Council authorization, did not want to put U.S. ground troops into Libya, and insists on broad international participation, especially by Arab states, the diplomat said.
It's not clear what the next step is. A report came out today that Secretary Clinton is very frustrated with the White House's dithering.
