New York State Senator to Surrender to Federal Prosecutors Tomorrow.

Another New York State Democrat bites the dust.

Democratic State Senator Carl Kruger* will surrender to federal prosecutors tomorrow morning on unspecified charges involving public bribery. Kruger, who is currently serving his ninth term in office, chaired the Senate's Finance Committee when Democrats were in control last session.

This comes just one year after the State Senate expelled Hiram Monserrate for assaulting his former girlfriend in 2008. It appears another Senator will face expulsion in the coming weeks - cleaning up corruption in Albany will probably take down several more legislators in the coming years.

The simplest and quickest solution to Albany's continuing culture of corruption is term limiting all elected officials to two, or three terms.

What say you?

* - Kruger currently represents Brooklyn.
