Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey Should Resign

 California Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey embarrassed herself and the country today. The Representative has apparently lost her mind. She decided to hark back to MoveOn.org's "General Betray us" ad in 2007 and smear the most decorated active-duty member of the military today.

 General David Petraeus successfully turned around the situation in Iraq-- and that government is a relatively stable democracy today. While there have been violent uprisings in other parts of the Mideast, Iraq has been largely immune.

Now Woolsey, possibly looking for her five minutes of fame, has decided to take a cheap shot at the General:

Woolsey said the Congressional Progressive Caucus Peace and Security Task Force held a briefing on Tuesday with Michael Hastings of Rolling Stone and other panelists, where Hastings said:
"General Petraeus is giving us the Charlie Sheen counter-insurgency strategy, which is to give exclusive interviews to every major network, and to keep saying 'we're winning' and hope the public actually agrees with you."

She also said that one of his statements was made up of "weasel words."

Time to step down, Mrs. Woolsey. You've made a fool of yourself concerning the most respectable person in the country. He's fighting (literally) for our freedom and all you can do is kneecap him.
