Report: Libyan Air Force Bombing Protesters

This report is coming to us from Israel's newspaper Ha'aretz. We cannot independently confirm this, but it appears to be along the lines of other actions of the Gaddafi regime. This also comes right after Libyan fighter jets fled the country and landed in Malta.

It's unclear what is going on, but apparently some of the rebels attempted to take a Libyan military base. In response, the Air Force bombed the crowd.
The protesters were reportedly heading to the army base to obtain ammunition, but witnesses said the air force bombed the demonstrators before they could get there.
This is likely a sign of desperation.
