Petraeus Leaving Afghanistan?

There is a report from the Times, the London-based newspaper of record, that could have some very interesting news. According to the paper, US General David Petraeus may be leaving his post as commander of Central Command, including Afghanistan. This would be less than a year after he replaced Stanley McChrystal.
General David Petraeus, the most celebrated American soldier of his generation, is to leave his post as commander of US and Nato forces in Afghanistan. The Times can reveal that the Pentagon aims to replace General Petraeus, who was appointed less than eight months ago, by the end of the year. Sources have confirmed that the search for a new commander in Kabul is under way.
The Times posits that it could be the White House's way of saying that the effort in Afghanistan is beyond just one person. What???
This could be very interesting.
