Mubarak Resigning

In what could be a major blockbuster story, a member of the ruling party of Egypt has said that President Hosni Mubarak may step down tonight. This is all unconfirmed but Mubarak may be speaking on television tonight ahead of planned protests tomorrow. The dictator Mubarak has been in power since 1981.

A senior member of Egypt’s governing party has told the BBC he “hopes” that President Hosni Mubarak will transfer power to Vice-President Omar Suleiman.
Hossan Badrawi, secretary general of the National Democratic Party (NDP), said Mr Mubarak would “most probably” speak to the nation soon.
Whoa!
