GOP Plans Cutting ObamaCare Funding

Now that the Congress' attempts to repeal ObamaCare failed in the Senate last week, Republican leaders have taken the next step. Led by Eric Cantor, the GOP is hoping to cut off funding for ObamaCare-- essentially ending it before it can even begin.

Some House Republicans are eyeing this legislation as a way to strip the health care law of any dollars, thus depriving health care operations of any money.
"I expect to see, one way or the other, the product to reflect that and preclude any funding to be used for that," said House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., when asked about what consequences the spending bill may have for the health care law.

It doesn't sound like it may work right now, but it's worth a shot.

  1. It's worth a shot and since any repeal would not make it past the President's desk it could be our only option at the moment. More power to the power of the purse!
