There is word coming out from the BBC that Libyan dictator Muommar Gaddafi may be making a speech shortly. This news comes from the Libyan Foreign Ministry-- which is now stating that the leader will address the nation. Last night Gaddafi's son Seif al-Islam Gaddafi made a speech saying that the regime would hold until the "last man" and "last bullet."
Today we learned that two military jets and some civilian helicopters landed in Malta after being ordered to open fire on the demonstrators. There is also a story coming from the UK Foreign Minister saying that the Libyan dictator has fled, on his way to Venezuela.
Gaddafi, if he speaks, will be carried on al Jazeera. That Arab-based channel has a live English-language feed here:
