Blue Dogs Not Cooperating with Democratic Leadership

The Hill has a very interesting article today chronicling the disenchantment of the so-called Blue Dog Democrats. This comes as the Blue Dogs took heavy losses in the midterm elections last November. This piece quotes one sitting Representative as saying that the group has 'no communication' with the House leadership of Nancy Pelosi.
Shuler

"There has really been no communication whatsoever," Shuler told MSNBC. "We still do not have any connection between the Blue Dogs and leadership."

In perhaps the ultimate rebuke to the Democratic leader, Shuler said Blue Dog Democrats often have more in common ideologically with former President Ronald Reagan than with Pelosi. What would have been Reagan's 100th birthday prompted remembrances over the weekend.
This also comes as many Democrats in the South have switched their allegiance to the Republican Party. This includes many members of county legislatures and even those in state houses. The biggest of these is the Attorney General of Louisiana, who switched parties recently.
