Iran Arrests Opposition Leader's Son

Possibly fearing a "domino effect" in the region, Iran has arrested Mohammad Hossein Karoubi, the son of a major opposition leader.  With riots happening all across Egypt, it is very possible that Iran took this step as preventative.

Just two years ago major rallies occurred throughout Iran when students and many leaders called for a democratization of the country.  Unfortunately, at the time, President Obama did not voice support for the protesters, in hopes it would curry favor with him and the Iranian government.

Sahamnews reported:

"Mohammad Hossein Karoubi was arrested today for disclosing information about the Kahrizak detention center (where at least three detained anti-government protesters were killed)."

In a later dispatch, it added: "The son of Mr Karoubi has been released after answering some questions."
