Anything I Have to do is Better Than Attending the State of the Union

Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia says he hasn't “gone to the State of the Union in at least 10 years, and I’m not starting tomorrow night either.” Why any of the Supreme's would attend SOTU this year after the disrespect meted out to them last year by President Obama is beyond me. Justice Scalia, in an address to house republicans yesterday said he didn't know if his Supreme Court colleagues were planning on attending. I for one hope for a full Supreme Court boycott. This may be the only reason to tune in the the speech tonight.

Jill, the pundette a at Pundit & Pundette seems to agree, noting that Andrew B Wilson of The American Spectator thinks that the absence of Nancy Pelosi could me reason enough to watch:

We won't see her constantly popping up and down in the upper right-hand corner of our television screens -- a deranged jack-in-the-box, screaming her approval every time the president pauses for an applause line.

Back to Jill, she writes:

Even so, I probably won't be tuning in. Now that we have our Roku box upstairs I can watch My Name is Earl whenever I want. I know Earl and Randy won't try to con me or insult my intelligence the way Obama and his "I heart business" shtick will do.
Do yourself a favor before you decide to watch and read the whole thing.
